Disney buying 'Star Wars' maker Lucasfilm for $4.05B

"Disney is paying $4.05 billion to buy Lucasfilm Ltd., the production company behind "Star Wars," from its chairman and founder, George Lucas. It's also making a seventh movie in the "Star Wars" series. The Walt Disney Co. announced the agreement to make the purchase in cash and stock Tuesday. Disney added that "Star Wars Episode 7" is scheduled for release in 2015.

Star Wars Films Converted To 3D

"It had to happen I guess. As soon as 3D become trendy once more it was inevitable that Star Wars creator George Lucas would convert them all to 3D and re-release the entire series yet again. Lucasfilm revealed today that work is under way on converting the Star Wars saga to 3D for an enhanced theatrical re-run. That's all six films.

Clone Wars Adventures Is Free MMO for Kids

The Force will be strong with our younglings this fall, when Sony Online Entertainment releases Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures, a free-to-play, kid-friendly online PC game.

Clone Wars Adventures (trailer embedded above) will deliver a suite of online mini-games themed around the Clone Wars cartoon, all wrapped in a social environment that lets players customize a character, buy pets and compete against friends in daily challenges.

Star Wars Force Trainer Already Shipping

On of the hottest toy trends for the upcoming Holiday shopping season will be brainwave toys. The Mattel Mindflex Game is as reported shipping on October 1st. Another Brainwave toy that got unveiled at the Toy Fair 2009 earlier this year is the cool Star Wars Force Trainer. The Star Wars Force Trainer offered by Uncle Milton Industries uses a headset that measures brainwave that get translated into a airstream produced by a fan inside the Force Trainer base.
