Calgary, AB – March 26, 2010 – CoolIT Systems, leaders in advanced liquid cooling technology, announced today that upon its retail availability this summer, the Omni ALC universal graphics card liquid cooling solution will offer full support of NVIDIA’s latest graphics cards, the NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 480 and GTX 470.
The GTX 470 and GTX 480 Video Cards will hit store shelves in a few weeks, if all goes well. So PALiT is preparing to launch their offering and they just sent me a couple of interesting box pictures. I should have these soon for an unboxing and review. All hail FROBOT!
Cebit 2010: GTX 470 at around 220W
We managed to find out that the GTX 480 TDP should be quite close to 300W. Although it has been rumoured before, we have heard it from couple of sources, all close to Nvidia.
The new info is that the GTX 470 might end up with a TDP of around 220W but it is still unclear what Nvidia did to spare 80 Watts.
Now it is official. The first two consumer level GPUs that are based on the GF100 are going to be called Geforce GTX 480 and Geforce GTX 470. This has been announced on Nvidia's Facebook site. Although the final specifications of the GF100 have not been released yet, there is quite some material available, since Nvidia showed systems at the CES where they also presented the tech demos of the GF100.
