"It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum. And I'm all out of gum.” Is only one of many great iconic lines that put the Duke Nukem games into our list of cult classics. Ever since Duke Nukem Forever was first announced by 3D Realms back in 1997 our anticipation of another boundless action packed video game has been high. Sadly this game has been riddled with an exceedingly great many delays, therefore after 13 years, was it worth the wait?
"Some of that can actually be seen in the second--we're going to call it barely safe for work--trailer. Dubbed the "All the Pretty Babes!" trailer, this video takes a look at some of the women Duke will meet throughout his journey. Apparently his journey takes a few pitstops in restroom stalls. Remember, we warned you. Duke Nukem Forever launches on June 14 in North America for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. (We're almost certain of it, this time.)"
"The game is delayed again. The publisher of the game issued an official statement pointing out that the new delay is the shortest in the history of the franchise. 2K president Christoph Hartmann said, "In case you haven't heard, Duke never comes early. We thank Duke's fans for their continued patience - I promise this won't take another 15 years." Gearbox also offered its own apology in the form of an official statement from Randy Pitchford that read, "I'm very sorry for the added delay.
"Duke Nukem Forever will finally be a reality thanks to Gearbox Software picking up the pieces, so be prepared for a Duke revival. Some very ambitious and talented fans in Finland decided to shoot a short film with Duke Nukem spending some quality time inside a strip club before the alien invasion. It was all done in a day with a single Red One HD camera." | more
"In addition to the possible release date, Monday also brought new Duke Nukem Forever video footage from a live demo conducted at the Firstlook gaming convention in Amsterdam. The demo shows Duke taking a rather lengthy leak, playing with the bathroom faucets, drawing and erasing on a marker board, grabbing the Devastator and "duking" it out with a Cycloid Emperor in a football stadium again, and more.
After 13 years of tantalizing production news and then declared dead.. I'll belive it when I see it. "What are you waiting for? Christmas?"-duke
