Save The Affordable Internet!

Phone and cable companies have unleashed a deep-pocketed public relations campaign designed to confuse Canadians about new Internet usage fees.

At the same time, broadcasters and cable companies are meeting in Ottawa to hash out a plan to deal with online services that are "competing for customers".

We can't let them turn back the clock. We need a well-coordinated response to prevent these corporations from interfering in the upcoming CRTC hearing.

Cable TV Is On The Decline

Unfortunately for Cable TV when it comes to paying rent or watching TV it's a no brainer when so many people are out of work. Cable vs. Wireless: Guess Which Is Growing Faster?

It’s almost impossible to believe, but there it is: the cable industry is actually outgrowing the wireless sector. This stunning factoid comes courtesy of the latest Weekend Media Blast piece from Bernstein Research analyst Craig Moffett. He notes that in the U.S. wireless industry, subscriber growth over the last 12 months is up 5.3 percent, but revenue per subscriber is down 1.7 percent, producing just 3.6 percent revenue growth.
