The HIS HD 6850 1GB GDDR5 Video Card is one of the best bang for the buck video cards out there. While it doesn't scream performance it is affordable and is jam packed full of features. Get a couple of these in a Crossfire setup and you're rockin'.

HIS HD 6870 Turbo 1GB GDDR5 Video Card might be considered mid-range, but it performs extremely well and is loaded with features. If you don't want to break the bank, but need an amazing video card, this is it. No matter if it's games, movies or other multi-display applications, this video card rocks.
Just in case anyone else is having scaling issues with the new AMD (ATI) 10.8 driver, it's not just you! I'm personally having scaling issues with the new 10.8 drivers on my Toshiba 52XV545U 52" TV.
The setup I have is a 30" LCD connected via DVI and TV connected via HDMI, using a ATI HIS HD 5570. With the 10.7 driver I didn't have an issue with scaling on the TV, but with the 10.8 driver I have to reset the scaling (overscan to 0%) every time I turn the TV back on. I've tried creating profiles and nothing seems to work.
*UPDATE*
It’s Official, AMD kills ATI brand
"The hits just keep coming for NVIDIA. First their Fermi line was six months late to the market, and now they have to push back the launch of the GTS 450. However, it's a different story altogether for ATI, as not only has the 5000 series been very successful, but they are now on the verge of launching an entirely new line of graphics cards. Up until now the news regarding the new 6000 series (Southern Island) has not specified an exact time frame for release.
At least a few cards
It doesn’t look like ATI is planning any dramatic price cuts of its chips in the short term. Partners and retailers can cut their profit margins in order to get more competitive but the really significant price cuts should come in October.
