Amazon sells out of Xbox One and PS4 launch day consoles

"Back in June, Amazon reported that pre-order sales of Microsoft's Xbox One and Sony's PlayStation 4 skyrocketed after they officially went live during E3 2013. In fact, Amazon claimed that at one point, sales of the Xbox One and PS4 went over 2,500 units per minute on the website. Now it looks like people who didn't pull the trigger to get the Xbox One Day One and PlayStation 4 Launch Edition via Amazon are now out of luck.

Amazon Founder Wishes to Open Retail Stores

"Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has expressed his desire for the world's largest online retailer to open its own retail stores. In speaking with CBS News, Bezos addressed the question of Amazon entering the competitive brick-and-mortar industry. "We would love to but only if we can have a truly differentiated idea. We don't do a me-too product offering very well. When I look at physical retail stores, it's very well served. The people who operate physical retail stores are very good at it."
