The COSMOS line has always been "one of those cases" that everyone wants because its just so perfect for that enthusiast build. But man is it just to high in price to be worth it. I'm with the other posters who mentioned it was at least $150 over price. But, they are Cooler Master and they can afford to have their top-notch can look but can't touch model.
Huge, Spacious, Heavy Duty, and I want one :P
Is there any chance you will review the Silverstone TJ11? Because I think these 2 cases are very much alike but the price difference is HUGE and I would lik to see whats the main differences..
Waiting badly for this Cases Review....
I saw other reviews but I am waiting for yours too....before absolutely fixing.
Also, I am sorry for shifting from topic here....but I really want to know this, since you did a review on Cooler Master V10 air cooler,
I just wanted to know if it will have any problem fitting in
Intel 3.2 GHz LGA2011 Core i7
With Corsair Vengeance 12 gig or 4 gig RAMs?
MOBO - will be MSI Big Ban X-power II or Asus Sabertooth x79
Let me explain why I don't have a review posted on the Cooler Master Cosmos II Case.
I did an overview and not a review of the Cosmos II Case because it was damaged due to a shipping error. Since I don't do video reviews on damaged products I did the next best thing, a quick overview. The damage occurred because they didn't include any Styrofoam at the top of the case and therefore the top of the case was damaged. From what I hear from others, this mistake is a bit of a nightmare for Cooler Master. Many damaged cases are being returned which must be a big expense for Cooler Master considering the size and weight of this case. There are also reports of fan controller issues. So not all is well with the Cooler Master Cosmos II Case at this time. I'm sure Cooler Master will work out the bugs though.
As for the video review... Cooler Mater said they would send another undamaged case for a proper video review, but now want the damaged case returned before they'll send me another. I respectfully declined. So unfortunately there will be no video review from me on the Cosmos II. Although, if Cooler Master does decide to send me another Cosmos II Case (and it arrives undamaged) I'll gladly video review it.
Heh, this case looks great! But I voted needs work because of crazy high HIGH, price, well over priced, about 150 over priced at the very least but I've heard that unless you pick up the case from a store yourself, chances are you'll get it broke in one way or another, so chances are, your going to spend 350 bucks on a case that gets to you broken in the mail.
Because i think the case is very heavy, the video review will not be posted until 2 months
LOL! Yeah Rodney totally shortchanged Cooler Master with this one.
I appreciate your reviews, 3DGameMan. I always forget to thank the people who are doing nice things for other people, but there you go. I consider your reviews a valuable resource.
And yes, I know this is only an overview ;)
Did you forget to do the video review? :P
Dont do Case overviews its a waste of time. Just do the case review because it saves you time.
I was tempted by this case at first. It has nice features and plenty of room to work with. However, it suffers from the same problem that my current case has: you have to remove screws every time you clean the dust filters. I'd like to pick up a new case, but not one that has the same problem.
Also, for the price they are asking, it shouldn't have so much plastic.
An optional side panel window would be nice as well.
Think I'll wait a bit to see the response to Cosmos 2 from other companies.
Where the hell is the Official Review?
Wow, finally, something to challenge Aerocool's giant cases... too bad it doesn't seem to be compatible with those dual-processor MOBOs out there...
if is compatible with the sr2 and sr 3 mobos when they hit
Don't think this even fits under my desk :|
Other than that the concept looks great, lots of fans! :D
Im using the original Cosmos 1000, its a tank, but this second Gen version, makes me excited to see the additional cooling grills on the panels and the accomodation of bigger fan sizes. Wow....
Looks weak =/ Why is there pieces of plastic in this case? Makes no sense. They should learn from Lian-Li.
The looks on Cosmos II are decent, and some features are good, but way too many weak points and negatives to be 100%. Even the "feet" makes no sense, sure nice looking but not practical at all.
I was hoping for a lot more from Coolermaster this time, they really need to put more quality into their cases, they always look good on paper, but still the flimsy plastic and bad design decisions.
This seems like an okay case, but the Lian-li PC-X2000F is still top of my wishlist (any review coming for that one Rod? =)
Lian Li has a style of it's own and the fact is it's not for everyone, although it's for me ;)
Hey Rodney, I have a suggestion for your video review from now on. Could you specify the weight of the case? Maybe you should put it on scale during the video review.
Please remember that this isn't a video review, but rather an overview. In my case video reviews I always indicate the weight.
BTW: This case is around 50lbs, without any computer hardware installed. So start going to the gym now ;)
This beast dwarfs the largest full-towers out there, and even supports Gigabyte's XL-ATX standard!
Just a little note, please please please don't push the 5.25" cover down all the way, just apply enough force for the magnets to uncouple and the panel will slide down slowly and smoothly.
And I thought my computer was big! Would you even "need" a case like this if you only had one video card & maybe 2 hard drives?
Now this is EPIC! I'm using a cooler master HAF 922 and I consider it enough but this is just awesome!
Wow! Can't wait!
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A VIDEO REVIEW, IT'S AN OVERVIEW. THE VIDEO REVIEW WILL BE POSTED LATER.
