Hey Rodney, do you know if this will turn off/spin down the hard drives while they arent being used? or is it just always on?

Nevermind, I got one today and it turns them off when the computer shuts down, by the looks of it.

I might actually consider buying that and use it for backups

For me, to have something like this would also have to mean I have a internet service that does not have a download cap, one hard drive does fine and its only a 500gb HD but in any case, I do have an internet service with a download cap so, sadly I won't be using one of these any time soon.

Though it seems like a really neat product and if things change, I could see myself buying one of these and calling it my hard drive toaster.

Cool video review. Shame that it has only the one USB 3.0 connector, else it would really be on my list on buying it. USB 2.0 Support really silly ^^.
