The HIS HD 6970 IceQ Turbo 2GB GDDR5 Video Card is another high-end video card from HIS that will make hardcore gamers smile ear to ear! It's overflowing with technologies, excellent performance, quad crossfire capable and has a monstrous cooler making it one of the best HD 6970 video cards on the planet.
do HIS and Zotac etc.. the cheaper graphics cards last shorter than the more expensive brands like Asus or Gigabyte????
I'm wondering what the temperature under heavy workload would be since it appeared in the video that the card was idling at 60 degrees celcius. I realize it is more powerful than my 460 GTX 1 GB, but mine idles at only 38 degrees with stock cooling.
You got it wrong in your evaluation... Its 1000% Kickass...
... and this card can be a very good giveway card... lol
Rodney, why does your face look red & splotchy in this video?
Oh my... putting FOUR of these in? Just the thought of how much power you would need to run the whole thing. I love the fact that they are starting to combine fins and pipes along with direct contact, although it is a bit large.
If you are going to pay $379 (USD) for this card, they could have at least included a 2-fan cooling solution.
This is an excellent card for those wanting a quite, powerful solution. The cooler does have some heft to it, and the see through plastic looks nice, though as whole, aesthitically its not that pleasing! But who cares what it looks like? Performs great, and very quite, while remaining cool.
I care. I have a big window on my case.
HD 6970 is cool, but I think I would rather keep my two GTX 580s that's running in sli. Thanks anyway.
just couldn't pass up the chance to let everyone know you had a $1000 to waste on video cards, huh? LOL, unbelievable.
Hey, I didn't pay full price on these cards.
Holy 2004!!! That thing looks like some of the old 7000 and 8000 series nVidia cards from back in the day. The same cheese-tastic clear coolers where popular then. MSI, Palit, and Gigabyte all have far better looking coolers that actually perform better, if you don't mind internal venting.
That's one incredible looking video card!!!
But gee, I'll never let a video card consume more than 100 watts... What a waste for me.
My 2600K @ 4.8Ghz and GTX560 @ 1Ghz pull 600+ watts according to my UPS if I run Furmark and Prime95 at the same time.
Great review and 100% Kickass indeed. But I wonder who the designer was because the cooler really misses style. It does the work but it looks cheap and fragile. (thats my opinion.)
