The Microsoft LifeCam Studio 1080p HD Webcam offers fantastic quality HD video. This webcam looks amazing, has a flexible base, comes with a great mic, tripod mount, long USB cable and more. It's capable of 1080P, quality autofocus lens and comes with TrueColor and CleanFrame technology. Considering how affordable this webcam is, it's a very impressive product. As a matter of fact, this is the best webcam I've tested so far.
This cam is great for chatting online but I have one gripe.... the lack of real low-light support. I just can't get good video in light below 15W.

oh boy its not close quality wise compared to the Logitech C910
shot with the lifecam itself but why is this video only available up to 720p?
he probably saved it as 720p in editing program, i did same for my review
I have the Life Cam Cinema, amazing as well and cheaper too =)
So which would you recommend between the Logitech C910 webcam, and this one?

Pretty nice, though I have a 50" HDTV and I don't see myself putting a 1080p webcam in top of my TV, let alone putting a webcam at the bottom (where it sits in the stand).
I'm thinking about getting two of USB condensor microphones to use it as stereo sound and do a "Let's Play" series for playing Chrono Trigger. I thought it'd be cool when it comes to setting up KXStudio, hook up two USB mics in Patchage, and then have Cinelerra record two videos (one with webcam and one for desktop screen), if I could. :)

1080p webcam is nice, but when do we get to see 4K webcam?
For those that are not aware, 4K is 4x 1080P. That's WOW for sure, but it also means a ton of data to deal. Now we'll need computer systems that are 4x times as fast to go along with it because 4K will be a lot to render. LOL
Good, much better than the "old" LifeCan Cinema, especially the microphone(that piiiiiiiiiiieeep-sound is ANNOYING!). But in the other hand it's not as smooth as the amazing Logitech C910, which is smoother and has a much better (and stereo)microphone.
Also, I just wanted to say your reviews are the best out there, keep the good work!
I find that the FPS is based on the exposure settings, at least for my camera, so it's better to have a lower exposure setting, with good bright lightning.
I use the MS LifeCam VX-2000, I just wish Microsoft would release some software updates with added features, and effects.
watching the intro you did with it, it seems that the cameras quality is fine but the FPS it captures isn't that great.
Also on a side note i like the new way you've been reviewing things.
