Antec LanBoy Air Case is a breath of fresh air! It's very unique and innovative which is commended. With it's open air like design it looks like no other case on the market. This case is lightweight, up to 15 120mm fans can be installed, there's lots of drive bays, has a removable motherboard tray, radiator can be mounted at top and a lot of other excellent feature. If you own this case you have bragging rights!
The HDD's look kinda shacky... Isnt it bad to teh the HDD moving around when installed?
I love the suspension for the HDDs, when I saw the diagram for air flow I thought it was stupid until I remembered it was all mesh XD
why is the rear fan intake?!
aquinoj wrote:why is the rear fan intake?!
because the whole case is mesh...so all the fans bring air into the case and the air can get oout via the mesh....dont think of it as a case, imagine that the case is invisible and the system is suspended in mid-air with tons of fans blowing on it...yeah baby, idle temp dropped 6c and prime95 full load dropped by 10c......and thats vs an Antec 902, probably the best cooling case available, until this one...had it a week now and lovin it...no dust issues either, which is strange...i bet all the dust goes out of the mesh along with the air....will keep checking though
thats awesome and very weird at the same time but now it makes sense.
This would be an awesome case for my next build, too bad I don't have $170US+ to buy this awesome case. For my current build, I went with the Antec 300 Illumination case, it was only $60, which was one hell of a deal. this till the price drops however is not.
best case out there now, way better than HAF X. if i knew this was coming out i would not have gotten the HAF X
WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 100% KICKASS haha!
NH
Looks like it's made from an erector set. Not my cup of tea.
What a fantastic looking case! Good timing too, since I am currently on the market for a case and was looking for something different and unique. The features you cover in the video review are also incredible. The suspension system for the hard drives, the removable compartment for the power supply, the five 120mm fans that are included, and the simple fact that you can seriously get creative with your setup inside are all high points for me. Now all that's left to do is decide if I should go blue or yellow!
Also, after a quick check on a local store's website, I see the case listed at around 220$ which... is okay considering the potential of a design like this one. Besides, I have bought my share of cheap cases in the past. Time for a bit of luxury!
PS: Thank you Rodney for the video review. And congratulations on a very useful and fun website!
I want to see this filled with fans so badly
Nice review as always
Is it that good having the suspension for HDD especially mecanical ones? i'd prefer a rail with rubber pads
the removable motherboard tray isn't as practical as the ATCS 840
15 fans that's really nice, must have an awesome air flow in there
That aside it looks kickass
lol if it ended up being that you could take out everything but the motherboard tray on this case, i'd be laughing :P
This is probably the first Antec case that I would actually consider buying. I always thought Antec was overrated, and maybe this product could change my mind.
It is really creative, and I love the fact that they give so many different options for fans and overall layout, and the way you mount the hard drive.
I would like to see dust filters in this, then, it will be probably one of the best cases out there.
For budget cases the Antec 200, & 300 series cases, are just awesome, they are very well built, have great airflow, and can hold a lot of hardware, and have decent cable managment, plus the dust filters on the front fans, are a nice touch. omly bad thing I can say about the 300, is the audio ports on some versions have an odd grounding scheme, and the audio ports are really tight, and caused a air of my headphones jack to break off, and get stuck in them. For $40 - $65, you really can't go wrong with these cases.
i wonder when amazom is gonna start shipping, and i guess the red version didnt make the cut cuz its gone from there website.

The red would have gone nice with an AMD(ATI) theme, and also I wish they would release a green version, it would go well with an Nvidia theme. ;)
any dust filters?
No, since this is an open air case.
the case looks odd but badass.
and I think you need some more light, it looked too dark for me.
sweet, I was hoping this would be the "new Antec product" :D
I've completed the Video Review, it will be up in a couple of hours :)
OMG! Finally a case with a removeable motherboard tray!!
Does it have dust filters because it has allot of mesh
does not need them
100% KICKASS
When you said new from Antec I thought you meant brand new, but I have kept up with Antec for a while, but I have been interested in this case and I still really want to see the video review
Antec always offers an incredible performance!
Antec fan for years.
Rodney be fast with the review dont make us wait too long (joke)
I am huge fan of the Lanboy Series, the Antec Super Lanboy was one of my personal favorites.
I saw an overview of the this case at CES, it looks great, tons of airflow and really a lot of unique features you don't see everyday on a case.
Can't wait for Rodneys review!! :)
This is about the most unusual case I've ever seen, but for some reason I like how it looks. So it's totally modular, meaning no riveted parts?
I can already tell this will be 100% kickass....it has a removeable motherboard tray :D
I'm still working on the Video Review folks. There's a lot to this case and I want to cover most of it, and thus it's taking longer to review than your typical case. Looks like Video Review will be almost 10mins long! Get your popcorn ready ;)
this is a really nice looking case. I could imagine this with some great lights and sweet hardware being mine! Wish it also came in green as well as yellow and blue.
This actually looks really cool but i would prefer a completely solid case I think :D This case should almost be in transformers!!
Question, is it heavy?
No, this case isn't heavy since it only has a steel frame, the rest is plastic and mesh. It's still very sturdy though :)
Thanks Rodney
I like the case.
You should review the Xigmatek Asgard Case. It's a cute little entry level Midi tower with black internal finish at an absolutely amazing price point
Video Review coming later today or tomorrow and it's a long one.
