Im nearly temped to replace my Thermaltake LCS with one of these.

Was that tested Full Load using something like prime95? and how long was it tested please. Or was it full load during usage? these temps seem pretty good either way, I'm comparing it to my corsair H50

Hello Rodney,

thank you for this excellent review. I was very interested in this product since I visited the CoolIt Booth on the Cebit.
Because I couldn´t wait for the vantage System I decided to purchase the CoolIt Eco A.L.C. because this item was already available here in Germany.
I´m really happy with the performance of the Eco and I´m not missing the lcd display or the wireless control module. The only thing I´m interested in a watercooling system is the cooling performance and I think there are no differences between these two products on that particular point.

Again thank you very much for this review. Many greetings from Germany.

I'm pretty sure it runs just like the other units because the pump, radiator and fans are about the same with only one difference in the lcd display. The only way to make these cooling units better is to make physical changes such as bigger tubes, bigger pump, bigger heatsink, more fans, better fans or something new such as a pelt, liquid or using extra blue led's and water sound effect..lol

Hi everyone, Susan here from CoolIT Systems. There seem to be several inquiries as to whether the Vantage A.L.C. will perform better or equally to the ECO A.L.C. and Corsair's H50 model, so I thought I would comment on this. While the ECO ALC and H50 coolers are exceptional at cooling your CPU, you you can expect superior performance from the Vantage for the following reasons: 2) The fan on the ECO is set to run at 1800 RPM. The Vantage has the user-selectable option of running at 1200, 1800 or 2900 RPM. This yields considerable performance gains when you set it to run at higher fan speeds. As well, the Vantage fan is set to automatically jump to the maximum RPM speed when the CPU goes above 55C/130F, protecting your components and ensuring maximum performance. 2) There is a spacer attached to the Vantage radiator that improves airflow in and out of your case, especially if you have a punch grill (mesh) on your chassis. These fine-holed mesh grills have a tendency to reduce airflow in the case. As a side note, for more information on chassis airflow see our Expert Opinion article in this week’s e-letter which will be delivered to in-boxes this week (subscribe to it on the front page of www.coolitsystems.com), or read it in the news section of our website - it will be posted within a couple of days. Thanks everyone! If there are any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Hi Susan, please feel free to make an account.

Going back to topic, 2900 vs 1800 RPM's is a nice boost if the CFM's of both fans are rated identical. The ECO is cheaper and there is nothing to stop a tech like myself from installing a high CFM fan with a control.

The first thing that comes to mind when I see this cooler.. How can I mod the LCD to display my forum nick name? lol

I'd love to compare this cooler to my Cooler Master V8 with 2 fans.

Hi Tiv,

Thanks for the invite - I've created an account.

Funny you should ask about how to get your own nickname displayed on your LCD...One of the great features with the Vantage is that it will tie into our Maestro chassis control and monitoring software that will soon be released. With this exceptional software you will be able to upload your own logo to the Vantage LCD display. It's mentioned in our overview video on YouTube if you're interested in viewing it.

That video is actually pretty cool. I like how you can change the color of the LCD and the audible fan alert.

Hi TIV,

This is Barry w/ CoolIT. If you have Vantage and then get Maestro the fan / light software controller we are releasing late Q3 then they will talk to each other as Rodney has said. There is actually even a bitmap editor built into Maestro that will let you up load any image you like into your Vantage LCD. Rad? Yep!

Bitmap editor is very Rad! After watching both videos I can see now that this unit is acutally a lot better than the ECO in terms of funtionality. This cooler is 100% kickass! XD

i Love everything on the cool it BUT i read to many bad reviews of leakages. Also i see the water lines are thiner than the corsair h50. Hopefully the fixed the leakage problem. If they did then maybe i would consider buying one .

Hi Cisco760ca,

Susan here with CoolIT Systems. I just wanted to pop on here and respond to your concerns about leaking. Unfortunately many people are afraid of leaks when it comes to liquid cooling - and in good reason. After all, we all know that liquid doesn't mix well with electronics. In CoolIT's case, we had an incident with one lot of Domino ALC's back in 2009 that got a lot of bad publicity. We immediately resolved the problem (breaking brackets) by going back to the design table and engineering some new components that are incredibly durable and secure. We haven't had a single leak with the ECO A.L.C., and fewer than 1 in 10,000 units fail. The Vantage follows the same thought-out design that the ECO does, so you can feel confident that it is safe from leaks.

If you have any additional questions or concerns we are always here to listen. Thanks Cisco760ca!

Susan,

Is CoolIT systems willing to replace any hardware in the computer if it has been damaged from the CoolIT liquid CPU cooler?

Thanks
Rob

Hi Rob,

That is a very valid question. Peripheral hardware is not included in our standard warranty. Of course, we put a huge emphasis on customer service and treat each case individually. How your case is handled really depends on the situation.

Thanks,

Will this cooler perform better than H50? I have Corsair H50 and it's not cooling my cpu enough.

Yeah I used H50 before for an i7 920 and the performance wasn't exactly I was hoping for, got rid of it and replaced it with megashadows, way way better especially when you're gaming.

Air cooler performs better than water cooler?

Anonymous

The best air coolers can beat low end watercooling such as the Corsair kit.

Watercooling is not worth it unless you spend at least $250.00 or more. If you're not going to spend that much, stick with high end aircooling.
