Ok, between Jard (Tivon) and myself we now know what you are referring it. This mistake was in the text description and not in the video. FIXED :)

If you could please let me know where in the review I made these mistakes? Let me know so I can correct them :)

You also get a Just Cause 2 game coupon with this card. I don't know if the one you tested came with it or not; but it's a great added bonus.

Why isn't this a 100% kick ass product?

Well, remember, this is still a mid-range video card and while it performs very well, it doesn't perform on par with higher end video cards.

This is the same reason I gave the HIS HD 5850 video cards I reviewed KICKASS ratings and not 100% KICKASS ratings. In my books, performance is KEY in a video card. Other reviews might think differently and that's perfectly fine. It also depends on what's included, the cooler, etc. Now a product like the HIS HD 5970 gets a 100% KICKASS from me, because I believe it's exceptional overall.

I hope this makes sense to you ;)

I can understand that way of thinking. The GTX 460 is a nice card for the price but it's not exactly the cats meow of Nvidia cards.

Takes a lot to be 100% kickass. Probably if they sent two cards for SLI testings. Maybe a free game, extra adapters and a SLI cable would do it. For 200$ it's a pretty good deal IMHO, but I'm not sure how this compares to the other 460 cards.

This site guru3d reviewed the card and it is the fastest of all the 460's so far.

Not sure, maybe it's because is doesn't perform as well as other cards.

How are you increasing the fan speed on the card?

I'm sure it comes with drivers and software that you can use to change settings.

MSI Afterburner is a great tool for overclocking and changing the fan settings/speeds.

i would be so happy if i have a job like that :-)

Consider the small temperatures, huge overclocking potential, great performance and the very reasonable price tag;
This card should get a 100% kick-ass in my opinion.
If you OC this card it can even beat HD5850 on stock!

Well spoken and clear review as always Rodney.
Nvidia back on business big time.

It's a shame it only supports two way SLI, but other than that this is an incredible comeback from nvidia. I feel sorry for the guys that bought the 465, in terms of value/performance this thing blows it away.

Maybe they'll release drivers someday that will allow for 3-Way SLI, unless it's a hardware thing.

I told you guys. GTX 460 video card is Best Bang for the Buck! It performs as fast as HD 5850 video card.

GTX 460 video card= $200

HD 5850= $300

What that means is you save $100 when purchasing GTX 460 video card. Talk further ado, Nvidia did a fantastic job, this time! Bravo! Last but not least, you cannot go 3-Way SLI, so best choice is to go with 2-Way SLI and it runs pretty quiet!

I have a real concern about my purchasing between a GTX 460 and 470. I've been gunning for a 470 for a long time, but I want to run three 120hz monitors with a resolution of 1680x1050 Resolution in Full 3D surround. First I know that I need at least 2-way SLI to do this but are two GTX 460 strong enough? or should I get a GTX 470 now and one later in time.

I know I can get a GTX 470 for $299 now, so thats just a $99 difference with the GTX 460.

If you are concerned, go with the GTX 470.

On a side note, I'm hoping Palit will send me another GTX 460 for SLI testing.

Just wanted to say that I really appreciate your great work.. Your video reviews are so professional and cover everything about the product  in less than 10 minutes (unlike some other video reviewers).. Of course you can't mention everything like in written reviews because you have a limited amount of time but still though it's a good comprise. Keep up the good job Rodney!

Thanks bud, I really appreciate the vote of confidence.

I put a lot of work into my videos and I'm glad people notice this and like them. It's so so very true about a compromise. It's more difficult then you think trying to fit all the important stuff in the video review in less then 10 minutes. And let's face it, after 10 minutes people will loose interest, no matter what product is.

Can't wait for this review, would've really liked to seen the EVGA GTX 460 1gb version though. Don't think those will be released until like next week. Totally getting the 460 series when I can, changed my mind about getting an HD 5850 when this thing came out. Point for NVIDIA!

Might get the whole overclocked 1BG version its only ~30$ more, but ill wait for your review - will run circles around my 9 Series im hoping

After watching the prices on other cards I was pleasantly surprised at the price - though I haven't GPU shopped in too long.

In the Unboxing Video, I didn't see a SLI Bridge. Is it not included? Will I need to buy one?

Anonymous

sli bridges rarely/never come with video cards. they usually come with motherboards. if you didn't get an sli/crossfire bridge, most likely, your motherboard does not support it.

I know of a way to make SLI work on motherboards that do not support it. It's just a driver issue, which has a similar resolve like the hacked drivers to make an ATI card and Nvidia card work together in the same system.

Although, I am unsure if it will work 100%.

If it doesn't work, I can survive on one of the cards while I save up to switch to Intel, whilst selling my current mobo (MSI 790FX-GD70, aiming for $120) and cpu (AMD Phenom II x4 965, aiming for $130). $250 should be enough to get an i7 930, then I'll save for the mobo.

Yea, that's normal, NVIDIA bridge connectors are included with NVIDIA SLI motherboards an not the video cards.
