The SilverStone Precision PS05 Case has great overall styling and build quality, but at the same time is affordable. There's plenty of drive bays, lots of fan options, hole on the motherboard tray for the coolers retention plate, black interior, toolless design, and many more features.
I try to open the front panel like you say in 1:10 but it doesnt come out!! =(
pls help i want to clean the dust filter!!
nice case with a good media player on a extreme air cooled setup could be watching the runaway's with class.
FYI: The CPU cooler height limit for PS05 is 160mm. They actually provide this information in the specification pages of our newer case products now: http://www.silverstonetek.com/products/p_spec.php?pno=PS05&area=usa
Pretty decent case for an average user but as for me, I'm staying with CoolerMaster for the time being. :)
a pretty decent case but i the overall design reminds me of this case the HEC 6BRBBB Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case (sells for $59 @ newegg)i purchased this the HEC about 6months ago as a little project for my daughter so she can have her own cpu has alot better air flow along with a large mesh vent on the side panel same chassis, down to the tooless and air filters have pics of the projects on another site but not sure if i can name it at this time.
would it be ok if i were to post the link Rodney?

this is my post just registered for for your site rodney been viewing since you did the review on the antec 900 case keep up the awesome reviews
seems kinda like a letdown from silverstone imo.... they usually make some interesting things
wth?..theres a filter on top of the ceiling fans?....so....you are suppose to use it as an intake?....
Yeah, it's meant to be used as an intake. The only exhaust is supposed to be the rear fan and the natural exhaust of the video card(s). This creates a build-up of "positive pressure" (basically increased air pressure) inside of the case, so that air is naturally pushed out through all the little holes like the spaces in the card slots etc. and dust is not allowed to enter at all except through the intake fans, which are filtered. They might also mention that increased pressure overall helps out with temps because more air molecules are colliding with the heatsinks and such inside of the case. It works wonderfully, as long as the hot air exhausted by the rear doesn't get sucked into the top fans...I hope it doesn't, lol
A budget case is no longer budget if you have to go out and buy a bunch of fans. It should at least have an intake fan.
I prefer to buy fans separately, so paying extra for stock fans is a waste of money personally.
Its pretty good for a budget case, but I wouldnt buy it
Thanks for pointing out the room between the motherboard tray and panel. One thing I look for in addition to dust filters, fans and toolless design is cable management options. Really nice that you can remove the top above the 2 fan locations and access a dust filter. Too bad there is not side fan to provide additional ventilation. But, there is an optional station for a fan at the bottom along with a dust filter.
It looks very nice with decent functions amd I would consider this when building a budget system.
Thanks for the review Rodney!
Aww come on, that SilverStone Precision PS05 Case doesn't have good air flow because there's no ventillation and fans on each side panel, but you can install optional 120mm intake fans to dissipate the heat inside the case.
Actually it could have better airflow without side ventilation/fans considering air pressure and direction.
THANK YOU!
Take a physics class people. There's a reason the FT02 gives you better temperatures than an open motherboard. Pressure is extremely important.
Rodney do they send you these kind of cases randomly or you request for it? Because I think there are better cases out there to review but if its sponsored then I guess there's no other choice. Good review as usual.
Sponsors now just normally contact me and I either agree to review the product or not.
Sure, there may be better cases or products out there but some of them most can't afford. In saying that, I'll be reviewing a couple of Lian Li cases soon.
So I'm trying to review a range of products, some are affordable and other are high priced. I believe this makes sense, at least it does to me.
I know it is ridiculously expensive, but you should review the Thermaltake Level 10 case
I had time top play around with this case and I did not like the feel of it.
Not even Kickass?? Maybe if they included more fans, huh? Do you think a Noctua NF-P14 could fit in the bottom or front fan slots?
thanks for the review.
Why do all these cases look like lately?
Market research probably shows that gamers/enthusiasts want cases that look like that.
lol markets don't care about enthusiasts because they are the minority. They'll be buying the Lian Li's and TJ07(11 eventually)s etc. Markets care about the majority so they can make more money, and that would include your everyday "casual" gamer and teenager who likes to have a case that looks fancy to say "this is my GAMING case yeah".
Our definition of enthusiast differs.
I consider anyone who buys their own cases and hardware to be enthusiasts.
The majority of general PC users just buy pre-built systems from companies like Dell and HP.
thank you for letting us view it on youtube.!
for a couple of minutes :p than it became unlisted and now YOU'RE FORCED TO WATCH IT HERE MWUHAHAHA. Aight?
You poor deprived people ;) How dare me make you come over here to watch my video reviews... What am I thinking.... Oh wait, now I remember. This is my site and I would like people to visit it so I can continue brining you lots and lots of video reviews and other videos. LOL
You still can't prenounce "precision" correctly :P Sounds like "pecision". But nvm :p
Bud, I'm from Canada and with old English ties, I sometimes pronounce things a little differently: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/precision
I understand you just fine. Considering I'm from Florida (Deep South) we say things differently. I actually listen to way you say things Rodney because I don't know, never heard anyone say some computer terms to me before.
SLI, is that S. L. I. or is it SLLL-EYE?

You mean these words? Processing, ASUS?
Pro cessing
Uh Sues
Oh well.. I understand af course. It just reminded me of a review I last saw in which you pronounced it as "pecision" and you had put it in the bloopers in the end. It was quite funny. Everyone has their weak points in grammar :) I for instance can't correctly type English but that's okay I supose >_<
