If you're looking for one of the best cases on the market, you've probably found it! The Cooler Master HAF X Case has amazing styling, build quality and features to boot. With plenty of drive bays, a tooless design, lots of fans, black interior, cables management holes and much more it will be THE case choice for many. All this and it's still reasonably priced, what's not to like!
Is it just me or the case look hideous, what's your opinion Rodney, is the case pretty when looking at it face to face?
Kinda... everyone looks different face-to-face, sometimes better and sometimes worse ;) This certainly is not a plain simple design, but it does look very nice considering the intended military, rugged theme. I guess it really depends on your own personal case style preference. I like Lian Li style cases myself, but somehow like this as well, go figure... lol
Could you do a review of the Koolance ERM 2K3UCU Rev. 1.1?
I thought that he did not like the styling of the haf series
hey 3dgameman, your videos helped me alot building my gaming rig.
im planning to buy the HAF X, one question i couldnt find an answer for in all those video reviews... how do you remove the dustfilter on the the sidewindow? do you have to take the sidefan off or can you simply slide it out?
Yea, you would need to remove the fan.

I was wondering if you could use more lights when reviewing cases that are black, it gets hard to see the features inside of black case's with so little light going inside.
-Thank you

Really, How do you do that? I want to support his site however I can. (I'm using firefox)
Rodney has been a great second opinion to all of my PC products. At least 80% of what I buy has a quality review by him. If I have the money for this I'm definitely going for it, if not I'm gonna budget with the CM 692 advance II.
I can't believe there is a review for this and it's not even on SALE YET! I hear June for $200, so that's fine. I can't wait to see a review on the CM V6!
How Does The 3.0 Usb Work Because The Cables Are On The Inside Does That Mean You Have To Run Them Out The Back And Plug Them In?
NO, they connect to your motherboard, if it supports USB 3
hey can you tell me if is posibile to mount a 120 or 140 vent on the bottom of the haf x ? thanks(i have a small power supply)
Now I know what I want for Christmas!!!
100% kick ass is getting old u should switch to 1-10 rating system.
No offense bro, but 100% kickass is pretty much trademarked by Rodney when it comes to video reviewing, and I love his little spin on it :)
Why there's three rubber grommetted holes? Aren't two good enough?
Rodney you're going to lose a lot of youtube fans by posting all your videos elsewhere.
+1
Well, why are there more and more subscribers on my 3dGameMan YouTube channel? I disabled comments a while ago and this has had no effect on YouTube subscriptions. And I predict doing this will not either.
FACT: These videos actually are posted on YouTube, they are just unlisted. So you will need to come here to see them first. If you don't want to then that's completely up to yourself.
Remember, my main focus has been and always will be 3dGameMan.com, not YouTube.
I have no problem coming to the website, youtube is just a popular name just like google. Before there was google I used Lycos and altavista search engine, who cares.
"If you don't want to then that's completely up to yourself."
Indeed. Its been a good run. So long
Ok that's it, I am never watching your videos again if you keep posting them on your website only!
I am not going to be clicking an extra link and wait extra long for the video to load just to watch this .. I am not alone in this, many of my friends that are subscribed to you are with me in this .. and many others on YouTube
I hope that was sarcasm...
Probably the most complete case I've ever seen
It's confirmed that this Cooler Master HAF X case will cost $200.00 via the unboxing video done by Cooler Master themselves. I really like this case and the fact that it has tons of dust filters. I would've liked to see a dust filter on the floor of the case for the Power Supply to intake air from underneath the case but that's defiantely not a problem for me. Good video review, it certainly does do this glorious case justice.
Kickass!!
Cripes, now I'm torn... HAF X or ATCS 840??
Many are....
what about water cooling does it support it?
Do people watch the reviews before commenting? He points out three rubber grommetted holes for water cooling.
Well Cooler Master sure did it again. just need to find out where to get it in denmark, i agree with your rating rodney.
awesome case
They sent you one! :)
excellent excellent case review. im now torn between the ANTEC1200 and this case for a future build. im used to working on the 902 of my roomates and i like how the dust filters are fairly easy to remove, but my current cooler master case seems to be very well made.
i am glad it got 100% kickass. thats great that a product as cheap as this ($89.99 on newegg according to the ad to the right of this) got such a EXCELLENT raiting.
that price isn't for this case it is for the HAF 922
That case is just absolutely OUTSTANDING. I have an Antec 1200 and have been waiting for Cooler Master to finally get it right and it appears that they did with this case...too bad I just built my system in March...now I'm having buyer's remorse...lol.
Great review as always Rodney.
how much does this thing cost?
rodney can i buy the case of you as you said you dont send products back
Well done review, Rodney!
I like this: less videos but more in-depth!
My best bud and I have the HAF 932 now and we absolutely love it. I modded ours to have handles on top because it is so heavy and increase ventilation to the power supply.
This looks incredible. VERY tempting...
My only wish would have been the removable mobo tray and to have had a truly hot swap capability for the bottom two 5.25" bays by having a backplane where the power/data cable could be fixed. That would have been my dream come true.
Thanks for the Kickass review Rodney!
viperrcr wrote:That would have been my dream come true
Your dream has come true. It indeed has a backplate pcb where the power/data cable can be fixed and therefore it is a true blue hot swappable bay. :)
huh? one of the best case on the planet.....-_-!! i know ur not the richest guy on the planet but maybe you should fund your own reviews from now on or look into third party funding because you are being way too kind about the products and it just sounds like your kissing each companies butt.
ahh.. so nice, but I want a miditower :( smaller version?
I do believe this will be my next case, i need a serious upgrade. Also, The V10 would look pretty badass in that window :D
Is there any way to buy that VGA holder separately?
I like how you did a quick overview of the back of the motherboard tray and showed in detail where all the cable management holes are. You should do that for all your case reviews from now on.
Does it have the same freakishly bright power LED as the 932?
I like to leave my pc on at night, but the thing lights up my entire room..
