The Corsair Obsidian 800D Case is one massive full tower case. It comes with a front aluminum bezel, hot swappable drive bays, 3 140mm fans, large interior, cable management, hole of motherboard tray for cooler retention plate, fits a large radiator and much more. This is a water cooling enthusiast's wet dream!
this is a really good case, good for cable management and good technology with the hot swappable hard dirve and stuff , but is too expensive.
Thanks Rod! I'm buying this case next week and this should pump me up even more :]
Nice :) This case is MASSIVE and very impressive . Let us know your impressions and experience with the case when you get yours.
I really actually like what you are doing. I'm sure that some users do not feel the same way as myself, but all is understood. It will take some getting used to, but it's a good idea thus far.
I hope that everything continues well for you Rodney, and that this will work out properly without too many issues!
Well, aside from a few YouTube folks bashing me, this is a win-win situation. Because I get to interact with the viewers. I can address any questions/concerns/suggestions you might have.
There's something coming later this week or next that many should find fun and helpful. I'm not gonna say what it is just yet, but I'm excited about it and hopefully it will be a success.
We all appreciate what you do for us very much, and it's nice to actually be able to interact with you, as well as other people, that way everyone gets to know one-another and it forms a nice big community where everyone can come together and collaborate and help each other out.
I must say that your videos have influenced me for some time, and that I have never purchased a bit of hardware without checking to see if you had reviewed it first.
Good luck with everything, and thanks a lot!
If all goes well, I hope to have the video review on this product released Wednesday evening.
If anyone has questions about this case, please let me know.
Yea, I have a question. Why would anyone spend money on this overpriced piece of steel when they could spend less and get more with the Cooler Master ATCS 840? Riddle me that.
I've actually seen this case in person. There are a few things that I like about it, I don't mind if a case weighs 15 lbs more than it would if it was all aluminum construction. However, for that amount of money I expect a brushed metal finish on the exterior. Maybe I have been spoiled by using aluminum cases for the better part of the last decade. I still have one of the original coolermaster atc cases housing my mothers computer.
They could of made the case perfect. If the bottom compartment was large enough to hold a psu on it's side, and had mesh in the bottom portion much like the tj-07.
Had an option where they a side panel with some side fans installed, they would of taken care of all spectrum of the enthusiast market. It also would of been nice if the case was one inch deeper. Regardless that case is the common denominator of most extreme high end build logs that i have seen. It will be interesting if they listen to the complaints and do the few modifications to please their intended market. It will also be interesting to see what Silverstone announces as the TJ 07 replacement later this year. In the mean time, I have purchased an atcs 840.
Regarding the complaints about the weight, once you start to install everything in it, especially if you are water-cooling.... 15 lbs doesn't make a difference.
BTW, I'm not complaining about the price, if those issues are addressed and they manage to get enough volume to sell the case for 250, they will have a lot of sales, sadly it will be concentrated exclusively in the niche market.
