Hey 3dgameman,
Just wanted to say I feel your pain with tendonitis. I have it sporadically in my wrists and the pain can be quite unbearable. I have found that choosing a good brace can be helpful in the healing process and one I've tried to use that has worked very well can be found here! I really hope that things get better for you soon!
Best of Luck!

i just came across your website for the first time, omg, i laughed so hard! I also have tendonitis as of recently...was brought on from relocating in such a short period of time, packed up/unpacked 50 boxes or so, then the medial elbow discomfort started...I am a licensed massage therapist, so you're right, the injury sucks! lol Actually, mine is not too bad....i am icing it a few times a day, when i can, then heat, normally you would do it theother way around, but this seems more logical with tendonitis...need nutrient rich blood to heal, yet the cool ice keeps inflammation and pain to a minimum. I agree, Yes, a brace is
probably the best piece of equipment to use, especially in your case...with the thumb issue especially. That's right, if you want to bring attention to yourself, 'wear a brace!' too funny! yet true. lol (one of the reasons I am Not wearing one) lol no one wants to go to a therapist who wears an arm brace. LOL
Well, I don't know who you are, but I am going to watch your other videos, you call it like it is, I can appreciate that...very funny stuff. Have a great day and enjoy your new popularity with the hand brace. LOL

Yes I have De Quervain syndrome in both my left and right hands, however it's a ton times worse in my left. It comes and goes, well actually it never actually goes but less painful or bothersome at times. I work in a Automotive assembly plant which requires a lot of repetitve tasks. To help my wrist and thumbs I use wrist rests when gaming and typing doesn't bother me too much if it's not extended periods of time. At first I thought too that only old people were more prone to getting it but I'm only 31 and so age does not matter.

My ankle locks up in the morning if I'm on it for too many hours the day before. This year my elbow is hurting, but I'm not sure if it's related to my gaming mouse or lawn work? Anyways, I use Tiger Balm and massage it in and then add some stretching and strengthening in the morning.

I've never had Tendinitis - but I'm still quite young (25), and take every precaution to ensure that I don't get Tendinitis since I'm a musician as well as a PC gamer etc - it's something I can't afford. I'm also ambidextrous, so if I did get it, it wouldn't be so bad.

I usually have some form of tendonitis every day of my life. I actually suffer from an autoimmune version of arthritis (similar to rheumatoid arthritis). Luckily it usually doesn't hurt as much as the tendonitis you get through an injury- although it can be bad at times. It can happen at just about any joint area. The jaw, Achilles tendon, ribs, hips, back, and elbows are just a few of places it can happen.

Feel for you...

Had this tendonitis/rsi/carpal-tunnel/gamers thumb 10+ times from guitar 20 years, Xbox Gears of War 1,2,3, and the computer.

Found a few cures for this, depending on the severity of the condition:

Hydrate/Vitamins [works for back pain too]:

Drink some good water, and pound it [half your bodyweight in ounces] like a college kid pounding beer!

And remember: coffee and alcohol will dehydrate you, so go easy.

Get a good daily multivitamin, will help your body repair itself.

Stay away from overly processed foods. E.g. White four, white sugar, corn syrup etc.

Relax:

Let the blood flow!

Let your arm loose down to your side and let gravity pull blood to the area. Do this a few times during the day for about 10 min each. Use your mind to focus on relaxing.

I would not recommend the brace, because it can hinder your circulation. You need to let your body wash the toxins (by-products of the healing process) out.

Get a trackball:

Dragging your wrist around, is a great way to get tendonitis.

Hot water, not Ice! Okay maybe both.

The idea is to get more blood to the area. Ice will just reduce the swelling and numb the area.

Get a hot water bottle, or better yet… running hot water. As hot as you can stand!

This should get you closer to complete recovery.

Yea, the brace is a catch 22, but I really need to restrain it because if I don't I'll rip the hell out of it. I take the brace off at night though. I also apply hear, run hot water over it, usually in the morning.

I go to the hot running water, at the first sign of any problems. Works great!

hope you get well soon:]

Usually fighting some sort of RSI, trauma to both elbows, but not at this time.
Ulnar nerve, pinched nerve at c6-c7 connection, etc.
The biggest thing to prevent this relates to your sleep.
If your sleeping position cuts off blood flow to your arms when you sleep, or you are running a massive sleep debt-make no mistake- you will get a RSI sooner rather than later.

I got tendinitis. It's not that hard to get, just a few too many sniper swipes on a gaming mouse, and it was done. I'm glad I never needed to get a brace. You know what the real solution to tendonitis is? Ice, lots of ice. As soon as that brace comes off, if your wrist still hurts, apply raw ice multiple times a day. It's the only thing that helps me with my right wrist, and it should help you too. Hope this helps, and get better soon.

Yea, keeping the swelling down is key. Thanks for the recommendation.

I was wondering if you could make a video about windows 8 and talk maybe about the things you like about it from what you know or the things that it needs maybe or what would be a cool feature would be an interesting thing
