Duke is actually pretty good. A lot of these negative assumptions I think are being made by people being really over expectant of what to see and far to literal with the humour. It is good like the old one was and maintains the "Duke" feel to it with a few updates like regenerating shields which are proven to work well. I enjoy it because it feels right. If people nowadays don't like it all I can ask is are people changing?
Normally I wouldnt judge a game if I havent played it, although I have heard similar reveiws.
Plus I work in a store that sells games, and after 2-3 days of release we had about 4 customers trade in their copy... usually that never happens, at least not until for a few weeks, so it must be bad!
It's VERY apparent that a lot of the gaming community now days as well as game reviewers just don't understand what duke is all about. . . They seem to think if it's not trying to be CoD then it's not right. . . They also just don't seem to understand the humour which is a major part of duke.
It really says a lot about how low the industry has sunk
Duke is a boring game, were I felt like I was wasting my time when playing it. I stopped playing it after 30mins and did something more entertaining.
I'm glad it got bad reviews shows that not every gamer will just buy anything and not really care if it's bad.
Cod is a BAD game and I dunno why so many retards buy it for stupid prices and pay mega bucks for DLC's containing content I could make myself.
I did buy BO tho as I run a site dedicated to custom maps and mods for cod5 zombies / BO if they idiots ever release mod tools. There reasons for not releasing the tools are just lies, as I have worked heavily with the quake engine they use.
Maybe the only way for Duke Nuke to recover from this is to make it support mods allowing the community to make it fun and add the things they want.
'Activision' are the real twats tho every company that is funded by them becomes MAJOR money focused.
"What do think"
Good one Rod :P
