Stood in line for 2 hours on launch day, and got the 16GB Black WiFi. Very impressed and happy with it so far, but the cameras are of mediocre quality.

too expensive for their capability, feels like I would be paying more for the brand name rather than what it actually does.

I have the Ipad 1, and I'm certainly not an Apple Fanboy by any stretch, but I have to say it's a very nice tablet and if I could update to the Ipad 2 for say $200 then I'd do it.

One thing Apple has going for it are the over 65,000 Apps and counting and a lot of them are very good, including some of the games.

I'd have to play with the Xoom or the new Asus EP121, to compare, but I do know that I wouldn't touch any of the android tablets as that OS seems kinda old and crappy to me.

Not getting any tablet. I can do all the same stuff with cellphone and it fits in pocket and makes phone calls.

My eyes are dead set in getting an AMD Fusion Wichita-based tablet next year.

I HAD and Ipad, the first one, I had to RMA 4 times . . . Ended up getting my money back and just got a new TV, That was the first and last time I try an apple product, when it did work, I still think it was a waste of $500 at most those things should be priced at $200 new and that's with 64gb of memory, the hipe was more then 20 times overkill if you ask me, a Xoom on the other hand . . . I might get one of those, then there is the ASUS Eee Slate EP121, that one I'm really interested in.

Then it would appear, Ipad 2 have a very common issue with back light leaking . . . Just stay away, get either a Xoom or the ASUS Eee Slate EP121 instead.

Battery Life on 2 hasn't really improved over the first one so no for me. I've done some testing of future products and let me tell you that this thing will be soon as outdated as the first one is already. I can't reveal any specific details only that a some of the competitors have even more impressive devices soon to hit the market.

I would rather hit myself with a blunt object then ever own a mac device. Personally I also can't wait till ipads become the biggest interest for virus developers so mac users will finally shut up about how macs never get viruses.

Well.. You can buy the new Wifi iPad 2 and get 3G with the new 3G hot spot for the iPhone. So if you have an iPhone 4 you can get a wifi iPad and still get 3G :) Anyways.. Good go there Rodney. At least you're trying to look at Apple's products in stead of SOME people here who HATE it because it's too expencive..

I however have a smaller iPad.. the iPod which is godsent.. It's absolutely AWESOME. And i'm not a mac user btw :P

Nah, i don't see the point of it myself, it's just a over-sized iphone. And i like the blackberry tab a lot more, even if it is from blackberry it still looked nice from CES, or i would probably just get a laptop

Don't see the point personally. I have an ipod and smart phone for everyday/pocket use, a laptop for uni and portable computing, a HTPC and a gaming PC... I don't see where an ipad would fit in there other than novelty factor.

I have absolutely no use for an over-hyped, over-priced tablet that costs the same as a laptop but can't do half the things.

They got some performance charts out now for ipad 2, the tablet has soooo much better performance than the ipad 1, it even beats the Xoom by far

It's awesome deal! I personally do not have iPad 1, was waiting for 2nd version. And promised to myself if iPad 2 comes out will get one for sure. I have iPhone 3gs, I think that's the reason I want a iPad badly :)

It seems like a good time to pick up the 1st gen iPad since Apple has slashed the prices on all the models by 100 bucks. I actually recently picked up a 64GB iPod Touch 4G and it really shines when you jailbreak it. Unfortunately there is no public jailbreak available yet for the newest 4.3 firmware so I am rocking 4.2.1 with the jailbreak.

As far as tablets go, I haven't tried the iPad but the Motorola Xoom and BlackBerry PlayBook seem more appealing.

ipad is all about hype. the only thing hardcore about it is the price lol might as well get a tegra device those seem to be alot more entertaining.

If the Ipad 2 is anything like Ipad 1 (which it is) it will make a lot of people very happy :) The price will throw a lot of people off though, especially the higher capacity 3G models. The Ipad 2 16GB wifi black model is very temping though :)

On a side note, after having spent a little time with the Ipad 1 I'm impressed, and that's coming from a hardcore PC/Android guy ;) lol
