Don't know if I'll be getting this game, we'll see. I have to admit that I used to be a PC gamer back in the days of counter-strike and half life but since the release of xbox 360 and the fact that most of my friends are console gamers, I ended playing more on the xbox than the PC. I also find I saved my self lots of money when not having to worry about upgrading my PC every 6-12 months... But to each his own. I still do play some pc games like StarCraft 2 but most of my games are on the console which I have no issues with.

Playing the demo reminded me too much of two games which people sometimes mention, CoD and Halo.
The game is fun yes, maps are too small though and the auto-aim (if it works) is a no-skill hold your hand style of game play.
Then finding out the game will be release in DX9 and later release a Patch for DX11 shouts lazy to me, and I have 2nd thoughts of trusting them to release a DX11 seeing as Crysis 1 support dropped out of the air quickly as a fly.

So I'm sitting on the fence not sure If I'll bother buying it.

Really all depends on how great the multiplayer is for me i played both crysis and crysis warhead i enjoyed both but for 60 its going to need a really good multiplayer side for me so am i jumping for joy about this game not in any way more excited about Battlefield 3

Yeah I'll probably get it but I haven't yet played the 1st one so I'll probably get them at the same time so I can run through Crysis in case there are some spoilers in C2 like there were in Call of Pripyat and AC Brotherhood.

I doubt I'll be buying it soon though since $60 is a bit much to pay for a game. Even new. Just think I could buy more system components for my Gaming rig. Even a BluRay Burner that I been looking at. lol

At least a pirate bay version. Already downloaded the leaked build but it didn't work. If the game is good I'll consider buying it.

I love how people are afraid of Crysis 2...
If you were to look around a bit and learn a little about the game you will see that the main reason to make the new Cry Engine 3 (and showcasing it, Crysis 2) is to open the series and the company itself to a broader marketm i.e. consoles and weak PC's owners.

Crytek (the developers of Crysis 2) said that Crysis 2 will be much easier to run then the original.
if you could run Crysis on medium settings, you can run Crysis 2 on high.

So your saying my old 8600GT (1GB) can play play a much newer game on high?! Impressed I am.

Any chance Crysis 2 will be on steam?

Anonymous

well i wont be buying it since im downloading it already.. F*CK yeah to EA leaking it, check out a torrent site, its only the beta though but full story line just with bugs tho, id post if people actually wanted to know you can inbox me cause im downloading it now.

Anonymous

you pay 39 .73 canadian dollars for crysis 2 at game in britian thats 24.99 pounds delivered do you pay 60 dollars that seems a lot

Anonymous

if u think crysis 2 will be £24.99 then im ELVIS!

Anonymous

Well let's see.
If the game is good I'll get it. I acually think it's OK to crack a game as long as use it as some kind of trial when there is no available (like for Far Crey 2). However, if there is a demo or the game as such is garbage, well I'll kick it off my HDD!
Hopefully Crysis 2 will destroy most of todays fastest video cards and will improve the graphics beyond Crysis (1)

Hey this is the "unoffical" minimum requirements:

Internet connection required for activation
OS: XP/Vista/Windows 7
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2 Ghz, AMD Athlon 64 x2 2 Ghz or better
GPU Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT 512 MB of memory or higher; ATI/AMD Radeon 3850HD 512Mb RAM or higher
Memory: 2 GB of RAM
Hard Drive Space: 9 GB
DVD-ROM with 8x speed
Audio: DirectX9c compatible
Keyboard, mouse or Xbox 360 controller for Windows

I think these minimum specs wont be like the Crysis 1 specs where you would only get 15 fps on 1280x720 on low. This will be the playable FPS (30~) on low-med with a reasonable resolution

just my 2 cents

Got Crysis Maximum Edition for my PC (Crysis, Crysis Warhead, and Crysis Wars), so will get Crysis 2, just for the complete set... Though I might wait for it to have something like Maximum Edition before I do. Haven't even finished Crysis yet, much less the rest of the disks/games.

Looks great for sure but not my kinda game.

Now Rodney the shirt you have on in this video is one i would buy.
Your last shirts were not bad but i didnt really care for them, this one rocks!

I would love to be able to run this game, let alone Crysis 1. Unfortunately, I have a Mac Pro, and no version of Windows. (Besides, the video card I have probably would fry trying to run Crysis 2)

Hell no, i won't pay 60 euro for a benchmark program. On the back of the game under requirements we will read:
" OS System: Windows 7
Graphic Card: Get a new one
Processor: Get a new one
Ram: Get some more
..... just get a whole new system, just because of this game."

I'm not gonna say it'll be a bad game, i'm just reserving judgments until the game comes out. I'll probably download it so my pc will be ashamed of it.
There's so many games out that have decent graphics and they are optimized as hell, so you play them with every setting on max and you enjoy it so much ---> Dead Space 2 for example, i have an asus 5850 btw. Crysis 2 will probably laugh at my video card, which is not fair.

I'll maybe get it, but since seeing the Battlefield 3 screen shots and since I'm more of a battlefield player, It looks better than Crysis 2 but besides that, I'd feel like I'll get better game play experience. So.. overal kind of killed the hype for Crysis 2 for me :P

Anonymous

Ill get the pc version if its significantly superior to the console version, but if its the same then no.

I would not call Crysis an amazing game. It was amazing from a technical level, but not so much as a game. It's fun for the most part, nothing new though. And the second half was pretty lack luster. Only the pretty graphics kept me going. The only reason I'm getting Crysis 2 is to oogle the graphics.

I will definitely get it.

Hell ya! But I'm not going to pay for it...

The cost doenst matter. Thats why there is a thing called piracy.
It helps people.

I download it. I play it. If i like it, i'll buy it. Simple.

Its better than paying 50 bucks for a game and then you go play it and it was only marketing and then you realized that you were Rick Rolled and that the game sucks balls. And bye bye 50 bucks.

... because not all games have demos for us to try before we wanna know if we want to buy it or not.

This statement is exactly why PC gaming is getting to be less and less of an option. Piracy kills games, not help gamers.

Anonymous

Remember that piracy games doesnt allow you to play on the internet wich reduces the quality of the service that a game provides. But you can play it in singleplayer and have a glimpse of what you will have if you buy the original.

Like i said. I download it. I play it. If i like it, i'll buy it.

Its like making a road test to a car. Nowadays nobody buys a car without a road test. You cant take it home, but if you like it, you can buy it.

Actually allot of them can be played online if you know how.

No its called being smart, should he just buy every game he wants to play just so it could help the gaming industry? What's wrong with trying the games so he could see if its any good? How about their financial and individual status? Not everyone is crazy for games.

So true.
If you buy every game like a sheep, without a question and you realize it's a shitty game and next time you still do the same thing, that so called "industry" will say "hey, we have morons as customers, let's make some more shitty games in a minor period of time, so we get rich like **************".
Piracy is good, this whole "we lose money because of it" it's a big fat lie and they know it and you know it, so why crying about?

Once its priced under 30 USD somewhere... Maybe, the first ones where not good enough for me to put $60 bucks into it, Theres more of a chance of me paying that much for Dead Space 2 but that's not going to happen either so yeah . . . The price for games are going up, it use to be only $50 max, for big new releases . . . I know that's just $10 but . . . Come on . . . When I started to see games for $50 I was rolling my eyes, come to think of it, the only time I paid even $50 bucks for a game was for Dragon Age.... I was severely disappointed in the game, I mean I could only handle one maybe two hours of that game, before I gave up on how poorly the game's interface was made. Lets just say I learned my lesson.

I thought Crysis Warhead was pretty good, and its definitely one of the best looking games, Crysis & Far Cry 2 :P.. But hopefully Crysis 2 is better optimized.. Because Crysis has always been very demanding of hardware..

Crysis was good mostly because of its graphics, I didn't find the gameplay that great and there were so few weapons to use, so you basically ended up playing the whole game with the NKA AK-47, which took like an entire magazine to kill anyone with body armor even while tap-firing. While I wouldn't say that Crysis 2 is necessarily strictly a console port like Assassins Creed, Just Cause 2, etc., the fact that CryEngine 3 is designed to work with the ancient GPUs in consoles makes me suspicious that Crysis 2's graphics won't as good as we all hoped, not necessarily worse than the original Crysis, but not photorealistic. I'm hoping that the gameplay will have improved though, and the location its set it should be cool. I guess we'll ll have to wait and see...

Maybe.

I didn't really like the first one (Poor story and optimisation imo) and since it is coming out on console I'm not confident it will be any better than the first.

I have to agree that when a game is made for the consoles they tend to not be optimized for the PC and lack features such as dedicated servers or mods.

I will borrow from some 1 to play on pc. Wasn't impressed that much with crysis 1 because of boring story & crap optimization.

I will have to see

I'm scared that it will be a crappy console port.

Will have to see once it comes out.
