MAXED! OUT! hahaha =P

If it's possible(and it almost always is) I turn on all the nice features/eye candy =)

"Maximum, Game".

I set my game to the best my computer can perform without stuttering or having low frame rates.

Anonymous

always on max settings but with only x2 or x4 Anti aliasing. and no AF

Anonymous

ussually max, but sometimes 5770 struggles with max. But since 90% of the games are maxed out im happy ^^

Anonymous

Whats the point of playing a game when the graphics look bad? I usually max out at 1080p (but with no AA). at least I have my 5850 and PII x4 to support it.

I just got gtx 580 yesterday and I'm running all games at max. For Alienware m11x R2, I usually run it between medium to maxed out.

Hopefully while im still able to see the screens!

Since i am still with my hd3870 i normally put max textures high shaders no/low shadows the rest goes either high or medium, no AA nor AF, but that will change soon when i get a 6970.

I optimise my settings depending on the graphics card and the game. I do prefer to have a higher fps on games, even if it makes the game look like doom. It just makes the experience less laggy and easier on the eye.

I also play around with the settings so that I can find the main culprit of fps lagg.

Anonymous

Usually I have them low. 6 year old pc... can't wait for that day in which I'll get a gamer's pc.

I don't play games.

Cool poll but you should be more specific Singleplayer or multiplayer
For Single ultra high (i can get at least stable fps 30 is good but i like 60-90 Crysis is little different coz 15 fps is smooth like 60 in other games).

For Multi ultra low (i have to have at least 125 fps ;x).

Totally depends on the game and whether or not I am playing a single-player campaign or online multi-player. My gaming rig is over five years old and although it plays the current gen games just fine most of the time, I do have to use custom graphics settings sometimes. When I am playing a single-player campaign I do want all the eye-candy I can get. Yet when I am playing an online multi-player game I want balanced visual settings to reduce any lag and maintain that edge against other players. And maybe it's just my eyes by some of the graphical effects just bug me specifically those associated with HDR and blooming so I end up turning those down or just completely off.

amd athlon 64 x2 4200+ 2.20 GHz (i have that processor for 4 years)
xfx 4650 512mb (i have that card for one year)
2gb RAM

I play some games at max settings BUT my resolution is allways 1024x768. im looking for more fps(above 35 fps) because it makes my game expirience better and much smoother than on 25 fps or lower

In most games the settings are maxed out, other than a few things such as AA and AF. Some settings such as lighting and shadows actually make the game look worse so they are changed to my likings.

In games such as Battlefield: Bad Company 2, I run the game at the lowest settings with high effects, giving myself a tactical advantage in the game.

Also, inb4 cheater.

As high as my system will allow me to go, around 1920*1080 and all the eye-candy.
That's how MarsterNelle4 rolls xD

The way I see it, I'm paying for the maxed out graphics. So I'll only play a game if I can run it at it's maximum.
If my system can't take that I won't play the game. It will still be on Steam when I eventually upgrade again, so that is really no problem.

When I can, maxed out. You gotta love eye candy :)

I had to choose other, because it depends on the game I'm playing.
