I have the coolermaster 600watt gold psu.
It is very stable and quiet and it has a 5 year warranty!

A 750W (which it probably doesn't deliver). It's a cheap-y! for now...
Until I get my 650W XFX PSU at Christmas :D

In my old rig, I have a like 300W PSU because I don't need it.

In my new rig I'll have a 700W PSU alongt with a Phenom II X6 1090T and the best single core video card of the AMD 6000 series. Till these puppies come out I'll use my HD 5870

I have a bfg tech 550 watt that survived a water heater pipe bursting and sending 50 gallons of water onto it while plugged in and on. sounded like a gunshot but i dried it out and it still workes.

600w Antec in my near 3 year old system.

Next system, 800 - 1000 watts ought to be sufficient.

I have an Apevia 700w psu running my AMD 965BE/crossfire 5770 setup, but I'm going to upgrade to a 1200w Corsair psu soon

I've got the Cooler Master: GX 550W.
It's a very nice quiet powersupply.

In my main system I have an UltraLSP650 650watt PSU, which has severed me very well for my basic AMD/SLI config, and in my 2nd guest computer, I have a cheap, but decent well running, ePOWER EP-500NE-XV 500Watt PSU, I picked up off Newegg.com, after the cheap 450watt PSU that came installed in a PowerUp ATX Black Mid tower case I got off Tigerdirect.com, as part of an AMD MicroATX build for my 2nd PC, started to smoke and burn out, after only a few months, and after the 90 days on it ran out. Lesson learned, and should have learned years ago, you don't have to spend an arseload on a PSU, but at least have a decent PSU, and make sure it has enough juice and a bit to spare(like an extra 50watts)for your system, with at least a 1/2 year warranty, if not a life time warranty.

Q6600, 1 x 750 GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.10, 4 x 1TB WD caviar green FYPS, 4GB RAM Mushkin, HD4870 (actually 3870, as the 4870 is fried. Let's see when the 6970 comes out). Asus Xonar DX.
550W corsair PSU.
Who needs 1000W+? Is that to impress the neighbours with the numbers? :D

I have a 400Watt Corsair that works great for one card gaming. I bought it new on newegg. Looking back I wish I would have gotten a bigger one, but this works just fine for mid range card. The 12 volt rail is 30 watts, so that helps.

Anonymous

30 amps I mean.

I have a 650W power supply. It seems sufficient for my machine (intel quad core 2.66GHz, 8GB DDR3 kingston, 1x 500GB HDD, 1x GeForce GTX 275).

A question: What are the signs that your computer is over- or underpowered? I hear you can burn off your system by underpowering it (sounding ironical enough).

mines 460 lol its a perfect match since i just got a gtx 460 and it works with it.

It's not what you do, it's how well you do it.

I bought my 750watt corsair thinking "I'm not going to have to buy a new PSU for 10 years!!" but thats probably not the case if I go through with my plan for next years PC build.

Motherboard: ASUS P5N-D
Processor: E8500 @ Stock
Memory: 2x2GB Corsair XMS2 DHX
Videocard: Radeon 4870 X2

Hello Rodney,

I just bought the new Corsair AX 1200 Watt Gold certified PSU. Before that I had the Sharkoon Rush Power M 600 Watt PSU. Because I made an upgrade on my graphics card, an additonal Radeon HD 5870 in CrossfireX configuration I was in the need for a decent psu which is able to handle the power consumption.

This Corsair is an awesome psu; and I kept in mind "...never go cheap on the Power supply".!!!

Take care and many greetings.

....I have many uploads of my new system-upgrade on my youtube channel too.

why does everyone waste their time with low-watt reviews? no one cares about those. the only people who watch psu reviews are those who want high-end psu

There are people who do want quality lower watt PSU, cause they are building something small, like an HTPC for example, which does not need a high watt PSU, but like I said a quality one, Also some want to try and same some money on there power bill as well, like myself, who has a house full of PCs, and networking equipment, printers, multiple A/V, game setups, and all that gets expensive to run, lol! Just cause you don't want to watch a review on something, does not mean that someone else might not want to, and might be looking for that very type of product.

700W BeQuiet (Listan) BQT-E5-700W PSU rated @ 84% efficiency. In general I have been using Enermax for many years but at the time they were all out of stock.

I am running a Corsair HX750 with a 7 year warranty. I have RMA'd one that was a bad batch from Directron.com. However, Corsair sent me back another HX750 within a few days and it's been running for almost a year now.

Corsair HX850 running with no problems over a year now. 7 year warranty to back it up. Once you go Corsair, you'll never look back.

I have Intel i7 950 and 2 x Gigabyte GTX460 super overclock cards SLI, my watt meter shows I use 165 Watts at rest (internet surfing)and playing City Life 2011 (this game maxes both cpu and graphics) 520 Watts... Playing Crysis 500 Watts....TF2 480 Watts.
If I ran my motherboard/graphics in green mode I could probably wipe 30 Watts of the rest consumption! But had a few issues with green mode on the motherboard waiting for new software or Bios update to fix. The Gigbayte cards ran green mode without issue!
Could have easily got away with the Seasonic X650 but bought the x750 just in case!

I have a ultra X4 1050w supply in an ultra full tower case. This is a totally modular supply. You add only the power cables you need. Replaced the old LSP 750 ultra supply that did not have the better upgrade that I have now.
