This is one advantage consoles have over pc gaming in the multi player field. There's a lot more monitoring and control over cheating

I know this sounds too 'Noobish'. It is what it is. Sooner or later, they'll eventually stop cheating in the game because it gets boring and boring. Get it?

coming from a hugely popular game(counter strike source) there is many cheaters that plague it. Public servers have most but then there is the horrible cheaters, the ones that cheat in leagues that give out money/prizes for winning. A huge controversy happened a year ago when a team that was known to cheat won 5 alienware computers that were top notch in every way and everyone knew that these players cheated but due to legality only way they would get banned and not win was by getting caught in anti cheat system which is years behind cheaters. So yes cheaters are one thing but cheaters who win money and prizes like expensive computers are the worst.

Yeah, that's why it's called Nomination. You just hit up with the Admin and spectate whom was hacking in-game? Once you've found that filthy cheater, vote Yes to ban him/her for 8 hours. If they constantly cheat in online game match, this will result a Permanent Ban which means you can't play the server that you recently got banned at via tracking IP Address.

...and hence why I ONLY play single-player games. I'm more of a lonewolf anyway.

That's fine, but Single Player will not last long enough to have fun. Multiplayer can last about a year or two, depending upon of their leisure time. If you see a player cheating in the game, just leave and find different server. Simple. Just ignore 'em and you'll be fine. Don't fret.

I hate those filthy Speed Hacker or Wall Hacker in Counter-Strike 1.6! They have no life and their conduct in-game match is ruining our Multiplayer Gameplay Experience!

If someone's cheating online, they're likely to get banned.

I play cs pretty much and I really hate cheaters..They ruin all the game by fraging evry one like they are pros but actualy noobs..

Cheaters are getting more and more evry day..They have their own web pages where they discuss some sh** etc.

Wish the vote options could be different. While I do think cheating/hacking is a huge problem in multi-player games, it isn't any reason to not game online as much as you would. If its a large annoyance, just move to a new game that doesn't have a lot of hackers, like TF2.

Also any cheater is NOT a gamer because he isn't playing for fun, he is playing to get the highest points and or for trolling amusement. AKA a sad failure at life.

I voted other because I didn't really encountered cheating. I play quake+live, no cheaters so far. A few hackers in wow, but they were banned in lightning speed.

Anonymous

I turn on Fraps to catch them.

I am a MMO player, AION currently, and cheaters are a constant source of frustration. It's gotten to the point that there are some people that run FRAPS just so they can catch hackers on the act. In fact, in my server several people have been banned using this method. Another annoyance is people buying online currency with real money, giving them not only an unfair advantage to those who don't do this, but it also unbalances the in-game market.

Cheating (Local Server Lobby) in l4d is fun but HACKING on public servers... i hate it

Counterstrike Source is ruined by cheaters

This is quite true stated by many. It is amazing what people do to "be good".

i play online games myself, and yes i do find it a problem when people that suck at a game have to go around looking for cheats or hacking programs just to improve themselves. to them i say "f*** u". i do so because they need to learn how to play the game and practice so that they can better, not let a written program do the work for them. It is really a disgusting habit in the gaming community, and i really wish game publishers can put out a fix to this even though the publishers already have a reporting a hacker and kicking a person buttons inside of the gameplay.

Cheating is ok if you are in a Lobby designed to be only for modding or for fun, anything else is annoying.
