I added another answer to the poll, "Yes, and it makes me sick". If this is your answer and you already voted, you can cancel your vote and vote again.

Perfect, when I voted I looked for something similar to that, I will change my vote! :D

Yes, I hate hackers. But I still play games online, I usually just try find a new server. But there is also nothing more satisfying than killing a hacker before he manages to kill you. I've done it before several times and I was laughing like a maniac at my PC screen when it happened. But yeah, base rule I hate hackers. Although I don't mind playing with people who are better than me because it helps me to get better.

Stupid people spend money on cheats just to rank up, they have no skill. They get caught, every cheater get's caught, sooner or later.

Anonymous

i have to agree for a game like cross fire or gunz the only way to kick people from the game is to have people from there own team do it and i see why they had the set up for it as if you had a very good person on the other team he would be gone but it really is a problem that and all the glightes in the game from people able to get on top of the building to having them in boxes unable to be hurt it SUCKS

I can say this. Combat Arms has an issue with this but it was SUCH A PROBLEM before now that people will kick you if you even get 5 headshots in a game or if you kill them from behind. Other than that if you leave a game there, it counts against your stats saying it's a forfeit game. I mostly play with friends now though.

Mac OS X or Windows you ask? I SAY BOTH!

I play Counter Strike Source a lot

Sometimes there is a cheater or two but i dont really care because they get banned in a minute.

Also sometimes its funny to mess around with them like team killing them, some of them get so mad that just leave.

Cheating is pointless.

Anonymous

Cheating is pointless, unless there's achievments/trophies/XP on hand. Glitchers/cheaters/hackers/spammers/trolls/unemployed (stroke all) are all the same. They all lack fundamental skills in conversing with real humans, and don't find it important to do so. While gaining a higher post count they sleep well, during the day, while the rest of us are at work. They are lame, even if they top global scoreboards

Anonymous

I hate it, but I guess it's a part of things, so I figure as long as it doesn't ruin my fun, I'm ok.

Can't stand cheaters in multiplayer games, no opinion on single player games (doesn't effect anyone else, so, bugger it).

If I notice someone cheating, I'll go out of my way to mess up their game though.

Anonymous

The only game I play online is WoW WTLK and it's impossible to cheat in the blizzard servers, you can have tons of adds wich is not considered cheating, hopefully when Starcraft 2 comes out it will be the same with the new battle net system.

Anonymous

I hate it when people cheat. I try to avoid servers with cheaters. But, if I do run into a cheater, getting revenge is very challenging and oh so sweet at the same time!

Anonymous

I hate when someone is cheating.

Anonymous

well, in some games like fps games (yes, your favourite games)
i aint too good, and i just muck around.
mainly its for having fun, not to abuse the game, most people tend to enjoy it anyway (like hacked warcraft 3 maps, if done correctly, it can makes them heaps of fun)

Anonymous

Don't see the point in cheating, just ruins the fun for everyone and yourself, kind of defeats the object of the game. If you're playing an FPS with an aimbot, what's the point? You're just running around with it automatically shooting everything.

Anonymous

Well I play online games some what competitive. I come across a few people that are cheating blatantly and I just laugh at how bad they are. Yet I have experienced some who are not so blatant and are not amazing who I end up treating the same such as going into a league and we ended up losing some matches because people have reported him so administration can look at demos and they confirm that he is cheating and take the points away. Then I am angry. How ever I do not accuse many people of cheating it does get on my nerves. Yet one fun aspect I found in a random public server Counter Strike: Source was that one of my enemies was blatantly cheating just plane out spinning around getting head shots.. reason I say a fun aspect is because I was amused trying to kill him.. It would have meant I had a really nice shot/lucky shot. That is all I have to say about cheating. I dislike it greatly, and I am 100% against it. #cspromod

I also will leave if some is cheating it just sucks. I would think the game would be boring if you cheat.

Anonymous

I put blah I cheat for the lulz, but in all honesty cheating is a problem and it really depends on the game for the severity.

An equal problem though is when less skilled players accuse higher skilled players of cheating. I've been banned from several FPS servers, being accused of cheating.

Almost all my friends I met when I played CAL before it went down have had this problem also.

Modern Warfare 2 is the most hacked/cheated game I've seen on the PC platform thus far. Just take a quick search around Google and you'll see how many exploits are available. It's almost as if the game was designed around having these exploits available for hackers.

In my opinion, by introducing IWNet and removing dedicated servers, they were asking for it.

Games with dedicated servers on the other hand, are almost not hacked at all, and if that's the case, all you need to do is call a vote and kick or ban that player.

This is why I stopped playing Modern Warfare 2.

It's a failed title and a slap in the face to PC gamers.

you are so right. This is why i dont buy this game

Rodney is busy at the moment. But I think we agreed on a better yes title that you all will like. Will go into effect later (few hours). Just Vote YES and I promise the rest of it will match what everyone else is thinking about cheaters! :)

Well is red dot and autoclicker cheating??

If someone is cheating in the server that i'm playing, just report the poor guy to an admin, but VALVe's VAC works good against hackers,if the hax'er can't be kicked or there is no admin,i just join other server, but i still report him to VALVe for hax'ing

Steam should read what I have to say about their VAC system. I've reported so many hackers to them I want a free game for my time! They almost never do anything about the reported accounts, or at least not in a timely manor. All VAC is good for is when they do detect a hack the account is blocked. However what I've seen countless times before from people that I know are hacking come back again and again even after being banned by VAC and Steam. It seems they have ways of downloading the games online and tools in place to bypass anything Steam has setup. This allows the cheaters to make new accounts and keep having their little party at the expense of legit paying players. So as you see they are not losing money if they get caught and no real punishment is set in place for their actions.

Anonymous

This is because they have hacked the whole system ore there may be insiders, i suspect the later..

Anonymous

i really HATE cheaters!!! Valve Anti Cheat (VAC) is the best, for steam games... If you get cought cheating you will never be able to get on the servers :D

Anonymous

VAC is dead, they use a anti-anti-cheat engin to detect VAC, it`s so LAME :( Also, VAC only block them some time after they are detected so the cheater are always there..

i used to play CoD4 all the time and there were tons of em, but they didn't really bother me much. i always had my own little sniping spots, so most of the time, they didn't effect me. well, untill i ran out in the open! LOL

back during the days of Quake2, when it was really popular, i used to spawn camp with the railgun, some people consider that cheating, but it's not.

Yes, we ban them and carry on. It does become a problem for those of us that are trying to have level playing fields. It's hard enough trying to figure out if they are really good or the forces of lag are sabotaging your luck. I almost hate playing in hardcore modes because even though the lack of the cam is good for the players, it allows cheaters to hide the fact that they have an aimbot or are map glitching. If I suspect someone is cheating I watch them, record them, ban them and go out of my way to report. It seems like a never ending battle to remove cheaters. It ticks me off that there are some good hackers out there that are low enough to sell their skills so cheap to these no good punks. I'm never impressed by their skills to bypass PB and run memory editing scripts. Cheaters are Lame.

Anonymous

I think it's a big problem! But that does not make me play less on-line games. Why would people who cheat have more fun as normal people do? CHEATING IS BORING as I know it.

Anonymous

I mostly play GTA IV online and almost no one cheats/glitches online on that anymore(because of the new update I think) but I agree it does ruin online games alot for example I had a game of 'race' on GTA IV and I AM a very good player =) but there were other players almost twice as fast in the race with the same vehicle and they were also crashing into everything and still ahead of me =/

But some glitches/cheats are funny for example the inFamous 'crab walk' in Gears of War(as long as it wasn't a ranked game) I couldn't do it very well but I thought it was so funny to watch even if I was killed hahaha =P

Anonymous

Wallhacks and aimbots is what caused me to stop playing Wolfenstein:ET

At first it wasn't much a problem and the game was enjoyable, but as more and more took to using such hacks, it sucked the fun out of the game. I didn't stop playing online games because of it, I just found a new game, and i find i play ps3 for online because it has less cheaters.

Yes, but I do still play online games.

I only stopped playing counterstrike source because of it and changed to Team Fortress 2.

I started playing css again though, for fun since the last update. I thought there might be some newbies to kill since it came out on OS X. And then again, first server I join, a server I used to play on, a wall hacker joins and ruined all the fun.

I don't get cheaters... You play the game for fun, not to win.. Winning is fun, but the people you play with are a lot more fun. Eventually, if you get to know you're team after playing for a while, teamwork gets a lot better.

I wish I could buy computers for 5$

Cheating its big f... problem but i dont quit my fav game (Enemy Territory) just because some noobs have cheats. If i have opportunity i record demo and bust that guy if not i just leave the server. Still nobody do nothing (ofcorz there is PB, GV, VAC but it still nothing compare to amount of cheaters ;/) to ban his kay or whatever look at EA/DICE in BFBC2 if someone cheat they just reset his stats ... this is just retarded.

PS i must register alraedy ;/

I hate cheaters.

I play CoD 2 MP and they are ruining the game. Every time I enter a pub there is a cheater there or a cheater will enter there.

Even good player cheat this days its not just the noobs, cuz this game (CoD 2)'s PB is not updated and new cheats arent caught, and the cheats roam free.

I really like CoD 2 but there are less servers now and cheater ruin those as well.

Winners never cheat, cheaters never win.

If you need to cheat to play the game, then play more often and get better at it.  I too leave the game when I notice someone that has a cheat or hack enabled.  And in the game I play, when you play it enough you know when someone has a hack (1 shot kills that are not head shots, 1 shot kills when they shoot from the hip, when they shoot through walls and some others basically when you see something that you yourself can't do with the same weapon and skill or luck doesn't have anything to do with it).

Winners never cheat, cheaters never win.

As a reminder, my proposition is that you have to ignore Cheaters as well as Hackers in-game!

99% of the time the cheaters come from a small country in the middle east (which starts with the letter I)..

those people cannot help themselves.. That's how they were born... it's in their Jewish nature to cheaters.

Sorry.
