A 2001 HP 3.0GHz Pentinum IV CPU with the newly released windows xp. Hated the computer, i got regular viruses from porn sites. And i was 12 years old.
MSI KM4M-V Motherboard
AMD Sempron 3400+ @ 1.8ghz (I think)
256mb ddr RAM
Onboard video until an "upgrage" a year later to an Nvidia 6200 (AGP)
Floppy Drive (Obviously :P)
500w "chiefmax" PSU (very,very cheap)
17" 800x600 CRT
Windows XP Professional

my first REAL pc ran XP home edition and had an AMD Athlon 3000 1.8GHz with 2gb ram, a single 300gb Seagate Baraccuda (which i still have in my current pc) sound blaster audigy SE (also still have) and an nvidia 7600GS AGP 256mb GDDR
however the first computer i have ever touched in my life had a 166MHz processor with 128mb ram
I was given a 80286 IBM desktop back in 1991, but it didn't last long.
The first "new" computer I bought (in 1995) was a Compaq Presario 80486 with 4 mb of ram. The salesman said it had a 250 mb hard drive and that was "more than I'd ever need" LOL
My first computer was 486 DX2 66 Mhz, 4 mb ram, 512kb SVGA graphic card, 639 MB HDD... no CD-Rom, no sound card. Oh memories ... :o)
My first 'real' PC that I used for... not much at the time sadly =/ just listening to music and watching some movies/videos, it was a packard bell and had a 1Ghz celeron CPU, 256MB RAM, no graphics card, no sound card, was very s**t.
I'm so happy I learnt how to build my own PC(only about year and a half ago).
And Rodney, how slow was the PC's and internet back in the 80's? hahaha =P
Oldest PC I can remember is a Compaq Presario 7476(?), though that wasn't the first one.
My first was a Compaq Contura Aero Laptop from 1993 :D ... amazing machine and it still works wonders today.
My first Computer was a Commodore 64, Then I got a basic Pentium 2 machine, then a Macintosh LC II, then a Macinstosh LC, and finally a Gateway T-1413H Laptop.
My first personal/professional computer had a MIPS R12000. Octanes where beasts.
i had like, this hp pavilion. i dont even know the specs. still have the monitor and the floppy drive that came with it. and the cd rom drive.
it was a 3 or 486 i dont remember but it had 50mhz 4mb ram and 500mb hdd
