I just simply don't use one, I don't find a difference when using one if you a laser mouse, I might be wrong but that just my personal preference.

I don't use a mousepad. Got a huge MDF desk (5cm thick), with a glass cover. Sometimes when I need extra smoothness I tape brown baking paper to my desk.
Xtrac Ripper XXL it is the largest i have ever seen..
Razer Goliathus Omega Control Edition. Its just a cloth/rubber one but I love it.
SteelSeries QcK Heavy ;)
Cyber snipa aluminum mouse pad!!!!!!!!!!!
World of Warcraft: WOTLK Northrend Limited edition mousepad. Its rubber, with a smooth material on top. Can only be acquired though pre-ordering the collectors edition of WOTLK, and I got it on ebay for $1.75 free shipping. I win.
standard alien ware mouse pad >:D works like a charm
Rocketfish dual-sided mousepad. Aluminum middle. One side has a smoother hard-plastic finish than the other.
Right now im got a Ultra gaming mouse pad and a Xtrac Pro HS. Both of them have hard plastic surfaces which i luvvvv

Qck+ Steel Pad.. used it for 4 yrs now, and still hardly no wear at all! =P
I added another answer, "I don't use a mouse pad!"
I don't see the need for one. If I need it smoother, I just turn up the mouse's sensitivity.

steel series glass pad here. I really enjoy it. I used to use ratpadz but they wear out way too fast.
I have a Razer Destructor Pad and I just LOVE it!! Together with my Razer DeathAdder it's the best mouse-pad combination I have ever worked with! I don't notice it now but when I changed the pad to my Destructor I noticed the difference. It's nearly like your mouse is on a cloud hovering above the pad.
However, I still using my keyboard which came with my pre fabricated PC ^^'
Icemat glass mousepad here. I recommend them if you enjoy a very smooth, very cold to the touch pad. I like the thermal properties of glass on my hand and the smoothness is great.
Same mouse pad that Rodney has.
