The AMD Catalyst™ 13.3 Beta3 Driver can be downloaded from the following link:

"Additional changes for upcoming update of Rage: Resolves some new texture corruption issues introduced by the latest version of the game. Improved performance ~5%. Smoother game play and reduces multicore sync points. Fixed mapbuffer failures when switching maps on 32-bit systems. Fixed a game crash when switching maps back and forth on 32 and 64bit systems."

This release of ATI Catalyst™ delivers support for the latest ATI CrossFireX™ profiles in a separate executable file ensuring users have access to the absolute latest set of profiles installed on their PC.

New profiles added to this release:
- Battlefield 3: Tweaks to the CrossFire profile
- Global Ops – Commando Libya: Improves CrossFire performance
- Driver San Francisco: Disables CrossFire

In this update AMD has resolved a number of compatibility issues and performance in some games is faster. Note that there is an update to this update though, Catalyst 11.5a hotfix: grab it here

AMD Catalyst™ Driver 11.5a Hotfix Feature:

AMD has announced that they will be supporting the FOSS (GPL) bios Coreboot! This is a huge win for enthusiast builders. This means that those crazy hackers can get down to making custom overclocking or gaming-tuned features.

"Earlier this week AMD quietly introduced new processor pricing lists and consumers can look forward to significantly lower prices, particularly in the mid-range.

Athlon II prices have dropped between 2 and 25 percent depending on the SKU. The popular Athlon II X4 645 dropped from $112 to $102, while the energy efficient 605e dropped from $122 to $98, making it a rather good deal. Dual core Athlons saw cuts between 3 and 12 percent, while triple cores dropped between 5 and 25 percent.
