3DMark 11 Release Date Announced

Who's not looking forward to the next Futermark 3DMark. Well the wait for 3DMark 11 will soon be over. Amongst other features, this release will show new comparison screenshots showing various DirectX 11 effects in action.

 

OnLive Launches Cloud Video Game Console

"On-demand video game company OnLive announced Thursday that its cloud-based instant-play game system is available for pre-order with delivery beginning on Dec. 2. Users can play on-demand video games on their TVs with the OnLive Game System without having to use discs or do downloads or updates. The $99 OnLive Game System comes with the MicroConsole TV adapter and OnLive Wireless Controller.

Windows 7 Commercial Makes Fun of Mac's Lack of Blu-ray Support

"For all the things Macs lack -- pre-installed Flash, USB 3.0, Blu-ray, and more -- you'd think that'd there'd be more clever commercials from Microsoft taking a jab at their fruity competitor. While commercials like Laptop Hunters hinted at such things, they didn't just lay it out there. Fortunately for Microsoft that's exactly what its new commercial does. In the commercial Mac and PC (laptops, not "guys", mind you) are flying aboard an airplane (conveniently named Windows 7). As the pair settle in the PC fires up a Blu-ray movie --Avatar.
