"Chris Chaney pleads guilty to hacking over 50 celebrities' smartphones for fun and profit
Between November 2010 and October 2011, there were a rash of hacking of high-profile celebrities smartphones. Starlets like Scarlett Johansson, Christina Aguilera, Mila Kunis had sexually explicit or provocative pictures stolen from their devices and released onto the internet.
In Scarlett Johansson's case fully nude pictures, meant to be seen by then-husband Ryan Reynolds were exposed for the world to see. She recalls, "I have been truly humiliated and embarrassed."

According to Ms Johansson, the pictures were for her hubby.
The guy that got 10 years got it not just for this case but also for about 50 other cases of hacking into cellphones, stealing all kinds of things like credit card #s and identity information. The Scarlett pics were just icing on the cake. BUT it is that icing that got this guy caught.
It is not unheard of for hackers (or as I prefer to call them crackers) to get huge sentences for stealing private or secret information. They can cause huge disruptions in the world economy and governments. Sure this was simply a case of someone getting caught cracking into cellphones, but those cellphones are considered computers and the legal system will treat cellphone hacking every bit as severely as hacking into a bank computer.
It is not just a case of some celeb's phone getting hacked. It is the fact that this guy got CAUGHT hacking cellphones as a career.
I guess Scarlett has gotten a wake up call as well: Do NOT store sensitive personal information on a device that can get lost, stolen or hacked.
(for the record, this girl has nothing to be ashamed of ^^ )

Yea, makes no sense and 10 years? That's more time than some brutal attackers get. Although, you can understand how pissed she or anyone else would be in this case, even if it's not naked stuff, even personal photos.

Don't understand why celebrities, or anyone for that matter, would store naked photos of themselves on their phones and then cry about it when they become compromised.
