Video Review #1568: SilverStone CP06 Flexible multi-SATA Cables

The SilverStone CP06 Cables comes in two different models, the CP06-E2 and the CP06-E4. Both are almost identical with flexible cables, 15pin SATA connectors and two 2200μF capacitors for stabilizing voltages, but the E2 has two SATA connectors and is intended for 2.5" drives, while the E4 has four SATA connectors and can be used on 2.5" or 3.5" drives. These cables reduce the clutter behind the drives as well as making it easier and safer to connect drives.

"New research suggests that older people people do not decline mentally with age, it just takes them longer to recall facts because they have more information stored their brains. Doctor Michael Ramscar said that his research suggests that much like a computer struggles as the hard drive gets full up, so to do humans take longer to access information. Researchers say this slowing down it is not the same as cognitive decline."

This case has a lot going for it, but the plastic is rather cheap and the steel is thin. Despite that though this is a great case.

Man Killed Over Sending Text Messages During Movie Previews

"A Florida man was shot and killed during a screening of the new movie "Lone Survivor" over the weekend. The shooting happened near Tampa, Florida and the ruckus started because of text messages. Chad Oulson, 43, who was there to see the film with his wife, was texting during the previews before the film despite being asked several times to stop by Curtis Reeves, a retired police officer. Oulson at the time stated he was texting his 3-year-old daughter."

As part of budget deal, Congress blocks light bulb efficiency standards

"Unfortunately, efficiency for small items is one case where the free market doesn't typically work. Individually, light bulbs draw very little power, and replacing one won't make any notable difference in a consumer's monthly bills. In addition, the replacement bulbs are more expensive up front and take years to pay off. As a result, there's unlikely to be rapid adoption of more efficient technology, leading to an extended period of wasted energy. By repealing the standards, Congress has ensured that the waste will go on even longer."

More patches coming to BF4

"In what seems the never ending patch saga for DICE’s Battlefield 4, new patches have been pushed out for the PC and PlayStation 3 versions of the game. As you might guess, these patches again address stability and balance issues. They also seem to swat more bugs which is always a good thing."

The 950 costs a little more than the 650, but it still affordable considering what's included. It performs very well, has a great pump, smooth copper waterblock, flexible tubes and a 120mm aluminum radiator.
