I use my system pretty hard, and to be honest I have a tough time making full use of 16GB. I run a lot of memory-hungry apps and systems as well as 3-4 instances of game clients I am addicted to, and have yet to come anywhere near feeling cramped in 16GB.

For the life of me, I really can't see a need for that amount of RAM memory even as a huge cache.
