"Computex — With OCZ now out of the memory business, we weren't surprised to see the company's Computex showcase dominated by solid-state drives. However, we didn't expect to see a mechanical hard drive included in the mix. The 2.5" drive isn't made by OCZ, but it does ride shotgun on a new PCI Express x4 card dubbed the RevoDrive Hybrid."

Trying to figure out how this particularly differs from a Seagate Momentus XT hybrid drive beyond needing to be plugged into a pcie 4x slot.
I've been using a 500gb version of the momentus xt for a while now and it is every bit as fast as my WD velociraptor if not a wee bit quicker. And it will slot right into a laptop.
This might be a good idea of the ssd side of things is 64k and you use it on an Intel Z68 (or newer) Sandy Bridge motherboard.

Asus P9X79 Deluxe, Intel i7 3930K @4.5Ghz, 64gb G.Skill RipjawsZ 10-10-10-30 PC3-12800, Sapphire HD 7950 3GB, OCZ Vertex 4, Vertex 3 & Intel 510 SSDs, wrapped in a CoolerMaster HAF XM case

The good thing about adding in the mechanical drive is that capacities can be much higher now at lower costs.
