"Frequently playing computer games appears to reduce a teenager's chances of going to university, while reading enhances the likelihood that they will go on to study for a degree, according to Oxford University research that tracked 17,000 people born in 1970. Reading was also linked to careers success, as the research finds 16-year-olds who read books at least once a month were significantly more likely to be in a professional or managerial job at 33 than those who didn't read books at all."

Well, people born in the 70's would now be 30-40 years old. Remember, arcades were king back in the day, so there were loads of people gaming. Gaming is now played mostly at home, but it's still gaming.

Yeah, that was then this is now... not very sensible showing a result from the 1970's, they barely had video games back then and they were a microbe in standard compared to alot of today's games, probably the opposite today because alot of people go to university for game design, colleges don't have that kind of stuff to teach(resources).
