Razer is releasing a series of peripherals to launch alongside the Tron: Evolution game, and of course Tron: Legacy. If you're a fan of understated design, prepare to complain. If you want something that pulses and lights up to match the game, you're in luck. Let's start with the keyboard!

"A detachable modular keypad, lighting effects triggered by in-game actions, and fully programmable keys with macro capabilities make this a must for any Tron fan," the marketing tells us. I'm not sure how distracting it would be to play this in the dark, but it certainly looks great in images. The lights also "rez" in and out when you power up or shut down, and the keyboard has jacks for audio out and microphone in. All good things.

OK, let's get the marketing out of the way: "Designed for the upcoming Tron: Evolution game and inspired by the Light Cycle featured in the film, the mouse creates light alerts based on your in-game actions, thrusting you into the Tron universe," we're told. "The unique effects upon start-up and shutdown complete the immersive Tron feel." The feel has been completed!

The keyboard will run $150, the mouse will be released at $100, and both will be available in the fourth quarter of this year. These may not be subtle, but they almost ooze geek flavor, and you have to tip your hat to the Tron styling.

I just want to point out to everyone, this mouse isn't meant for everyone, they have marketed it for the die hard fans of Tron which will spend more then normal for a mouse.

I never liked Razer, still haven't changed my mind.

P.S. I want a touch keyboard, are you aware of any? Not just with touch multimedia keys, but with every key to be touch. And when you turn off the PC the KB to be black and smooth :D

exactly what im thinking. $100 for a mouse is ridiculous. It will wear out just as fast as any other.

does it really make a difference if your mouse is that expensive compared to a simple logitech wireless? Because I don't think I can stomach spending that much on a mouse or kb, rather spend it on another video card or ssd.

I love how every razer product picture looks INCREDIBLY fake. It's actually quite hard for me to tell what that mouse would look like in real life. :p
