This does not make me happy. It's just an updated driver for one game and one flavor of ATI card. Why could they not fix the same problem with the 4000 and 3000 ATI cards all at the same time? What a waste. Waiting for 10.5.

I sleep fine at night knowing we are banning people who deserve it.  Tivon
Don't test my skills, I was trained by myself! Check out my Gaming Videos!

Tried it and it did make Bad Company 2 load a lot faster, although it caused a couple BSOD. Hopefully they'll fix it soon, I reverted back to the 10.3 drivers for now.

I don't play any latest "high demanding" games, so this update does not apply to me, then. I might play Prince of Persa or Doom III, but that's about it since I only have 780G chipset. :(

So my question is, will AMD continue to support AMD 780G for the next few years with the latest Catalyst drivers? The way I think about those updates is it's only for fixing game problems, am I right? Which tells me that I shouldn't bother with updating my drivers for 780G chipset for a very long time until AMD stops supporting it...

([Off-topic] BTW, Rodney, is the spell checker built-in to the software? It looks kind of sensitive compared to Firefox's spell checker. I tried to highlight text just to retype what I've made and instead of erasing text that I've already highlighted, the software thinks I'm typing text to the right of the highlighted text, so the highlighted text gets de-highlighted and I continue to type text which I don't like the effect. To work around that, I have to hit the backspace key, which may seem obvious but I didn't get myself into habit of doing that. In short, if you use Notepad in Windows, you can type text and if you need to correct your mistake, you can highlight text by doing Shift+Left arrow a couple of times and begin to type text from there without hitting the backspace key. You might want to fix that to allow the highlighted text to be overwritten without requiring a backspace key.)

Nice but I'm still waiting for AMD to fix bug that is causing some terrible artifacts in "Just Cause 2". I've posted it on the Eidos forums and send those report forms to AMD but no answer yet. Here's a link: The picture shown is from night time, during the day you have all white lines on the ground textures except roads and structures.

Hope Catalyst 10.4 will address this issue too hence it is a driver issue, had it before on Battlefield 2 and the Geforce 6800GT a while back.

This driver fixes the long load times for BF:BC2.

This should make many folks rather happy ;)
