My hardware software that came with my motherboard--asus p5n72-t premium--and my graphics--evga 260 core 216 ssc--will not run on windows 7. The motherboard software includes free anti viru ofr one year, plus handy tools to help manage my system. Other disks will run, including my mouse software, and some older games, but these software disks result with na error message stating they are meant to run on vista and xp.
Download drivers off the manufacturer's sites.
nVidia has ForceWare drivers for Win7 (technically they're the same as the Vista ones).
Asus should have Win7 drivers on their site for the motherboard.
Anyone know the updates in the new 191.07? All I noticed was more support for 3D Vision.

I can't get the divx web player to use the deblocking settings in Firefox. It's all very sharp and boxy. If I save the video to the computer it plays just fine with WMP.
Wow. That must be the web-player for sure.
Hopefully I fixed one of my issues today. My computer was coming out of Sleep mode and I was blaming it on my kids because I set every option I knew of to keep it off. However after using Google I found that using the line "powercfg lastwake" in the command prompt listed that the "mcupdate_scheduled" was waking the computer up to run updates. Had to go into Task Scheduler / Microsoft / Windows / Media Center / mcupdate_scheduled and change the trigger to "At log on, using the any user option" Right click over the "mcupdate_scheduled" in the list and choose the properties to make any changes to the triggers.
Now the question is why would Microsoft allow something like this to wake my computer up and leave it running for hours to waste my electricity? Someone has dropped the ball, but I don't want to switch to manual updates just yet if I can help it.
Microsoft -1 :negative
