Video card game coupons selling, illegal or?

I've heard reselling games is illegal, though I've never really looked into it but in any case, I was wondering if any one knows if its illegal to sell a game coupon that you get by buying a video card in some places, I mean technically you didn't buy the game, you didn't use the game, so... Does the same rules apply anyways?

Just a random question I've often wondered about.

If the product key of the game is unused and intact it shouldn't be a problem for you to sell it.

This should have been in Gaming, BTW, as it refers to games.

Selling coupons for free games isn't necessarily illegal (check your local laws, though), but it is somewhat unethical to sell what was given to you for free.
