Hello guys,
I have a question for you smart people out here. I'm currently running a WMC computer, hooked up to a 32" LCD TV over VGA. I have recently received another spare 17" screen and, as I have no more screen use for my main rig, I would like to to also act as a TV when I'm working at the desk.
To sum up the problem: I would like WMC center to run mirrored on two screens with different resolutions.
Is this even possible? Having two instances open on different screens won't work, because I'm using a remote. I don't want to run WMC on my main computer, because my video library and TV tuner are on the HTPC.
Any suggestions are welcome! Many thanks in advance!
im confused a bit.
Do yo want to have your HTPC use the 32" for playback and also use a monitor at your desk to show playback. At the same time use a different pc and monitor to work on?
If this is the case, you can st up your monitors each with its own resolution. Then when you want to run one monitor say your tv, use the windows key plus P to activate the switch screen menu. Then choose it. You then also can use the same keystroke to choose duplicate, extend, and projector only(other monitor). I do this several times a day.
Again, if im completely off with my interpretation of your question please forgive me.
Best of luck!
Thanks! Win+P works like a charm! Now I just have to figure out how to program that to a button on the remote and I'm set.
Thank you very much!!
