Im in need of a program that allows you to clip a specific audio level.

what i Mean is this.

i have a few epic skype call videos where me and my friends are dancing to music and such but my web cam recorded the audio to high so you get those screeching sounds when it peaks. Im looking for something that allows me to keep all the audio but clip the red area where you loose sound and it makes those horrible screeching sounds.

any program would be great, I dont mind paying a little bit to keep great memories with friends BTW.

This person is in a serious relationship with technology <3

Try out LevTrim, it's freeware.

In my experience of working with professional audio equipment (mixers, compressors, etc.) I would recommend getting a cardiod mic, one that can take a max spl of 100dB.
