newest nvidia drivers say they are 'not compatible'

i tried to install the newest Nvidia 266.35 Beta Drivers on my comp but for unknown reason it gives me the message
'this NVIDIA graphics driver is not compatible with this version of windows'
while it should be, i have windows 7 home premium 64bit
anybody know why it says this, and how i could solve it?

windows 7 home premium 64bit SP1 * intel core i7-950 @ 3.2ghz * MSI GTX580 Twin Frozr II OC 1.5GB * crucial M4 128GB SSD & Samsung 1TB HDD * 12GB DDR3 RAM 1333mhz * dual monitors HP 2510i 25" & LG M198WA 19" * HAF922 case *

Maybe you downloaded the 32bit drivers?

ah yes, thats indeed it. i just checked and the link to the drivers on 3dgameman site were for 32 bit and not 64bit windows, thanx

lol well we're all here to help each other, and luckily not everything is as complicated :)

The installer should have mentioned it in the errormessage, if you ask me.

Yeah you can't.. I hope that will be added to this forum later on. The whole forum is still under construction as far as I know. Maybe we just have to shoutout to the mods because there's no PM feature yet...
