Yeah, I know, I'm behind on the OS side. Live with it, I haven't had the cash to upgrade, and now I'm looking at just building a whole new rig, so it will likely never be upgraded.
OK, so here is the issue. CorelDRAW X4 works perfectly. It doesn't crash, it doesn't goof up. It does it's job. Until I close it. And then, after properly saving and closing files, and clearing the clip buffer, it crashes as it is leaving memory. Weirdest thing.
Both Corel diagnostics and Windows Vista diagnostics say that I need to patch to fix this problem. But the patches from Corel won't work, and it has to do with my serial number (?) for my X4 upgrade, that apparently the update sees as a different software series. But according to Corel people, the version I have is stable in 64-bit Vista and Windows 7 64-bit, so they just suggested living with the error.
I don't live well with errors.
What is funny is that the other packaged software (PHOTO-PAINT, CAPTURE, etc.) don't have this strange little bug.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled, tried the update again, no difference. Has anyone else run into strange issues like this?
As you know this one might be a hard one to resolve :(
I have been for quite some time. This is just a momentary struggle. I'll settle down now.
Are there any updates or bugfixes?. Any sorrt of error or something that it's displaying?
As I said above, the update patch doesn't like my key and refuses to install.
No error except it didn't close properly.
