cant delete diablo 3 shortcut

i cant delete the diablo 3 short cut from my taskbar, i cant right click it, and it doesnt show in "C:\Users\ David\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar"

Also diablo is installed on on my other drive

Asus P8P67 Deluxe : i7 2600k : Corsair Vengeance 8 GB 1600
Asus GTX 560 Direct Cu II OC : Corsair H100
Kingston Hyper X 3K 120 GB : WD Caviar Black 1 TB : Windows 7 Home Premium

This happens sometimes, especially if you move a pinned item. The shortcut moves (what you referenced above), but the registry remains.

Launch REGEDIT, and browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Taskband

You should see a key for it in there. Delete, and reboot.

Just look for an entry under Taskband that refers to Diablo III. There will only be one, unless you have multiple pinned icons.
