Any recommendations for software that doesn't use much cpu so I can view my home pc on my netbook while I'm not home? Both run windows XP.
teamviewer5. its free too, install on both computers then they are able to be controlled by the computer logged into the other computer.

thats my gaming desktop controlled on my laptop
Does it cause any noticeable cpu strain?
no, i can run this flawlessly on my 1.8GHz core 2 duo in my laptop, no noticable strain at all
Why not use "Remote Desktop", which is build into Windows? (I believe only in XP Pro though) I've only used it over LAN before, but it really doesn't use much resources at all. To get it working over internet you might have to do some port forwarding and I'd recommend setting up a DDNS unless you have a static IP, but I think it's the cleanest solution. What do others think about that?
I can do this on my phone I have HTC Eco I want to view my pc using my phone Sprint told me it is build in my phone I try to port forward it is not working is it a site I can learn or show me what to do
Thank you I will check it out
What about Samsung galaxy s on the Android OS linking to a windows 7 computer?
Any Android phone should be fine. I'm not sure about OS Version requirements, but you're running 2.1 right? Shouldn't be an issue. And yes, Windows 7 is also supported.
