Hi, I was just wondering, Aside from overclocking, what other purpose will you need to use a CPU water cooler? 48 hour gaming? And how big is the difference of CPU Water coolers and CPU fan Coolers? (like the Cooler master V10)

I'd like to know, Thanks.

hey man the real reason youd be lookin to water cooling is to overclock as you stated this will ensure that as you up the clock of your cpu the heat will dissapate faster. as for air cooling.... if your not looking to overclock than a good air cooler would be fine... i did research that cooler master v10 and found it to be very nice and very efficient yet very highly priced , also youd have to be careful about transporting your computer with it installed, as heavy as it is it could crack a motherboard it transit!

Ahhh, Thanks bro. Well, I was planning to buy a water cooler, however Im not going to overclock my processor, so gonna remove the water coolers on my list.

I have here an AMD Athlon II x2 stock heat sink and stock fan and still wondering if I should buy a Cooler master V10. I havent got any problems on the fan cooler of my AMD, but I want to prolong the life of my Athlon for now because I wont be buying a new processor until the next 2 years. Should I go and buy the V10 to prolong my processor's life? or stick to the stock for now?

Thanks again!!

axxaaxaxaxaxaxaxax .... Box cooler will cool you just performed work. V10 is much more expensive and cooler is not worth it to put the poor processor, it is designed for the beasts of the processor. Hold up your refrigerator and your standard will be all right, and you save a lot of money.

Ok, so decent water coolers are great for overclocking, that being said Air coolers can perform really well even for an overclocked cpu. For example my current set up i have a Xigmatek Dark knight cpu cooler with a push and pull fan setup, my cpu amd 965 x4 @ 4ghz from stock 3.4ghz, idle temps 38~ and 48-52 at 100% load. As you can see air coolers perform great for OC'ing.
