The CM Hyper 212+ is an amazing cooler for the price for AM2+/Am3 aswell as 775/1156/1366.  I would also recommend the Gelid Tranquillo, its a bit more $$ is quieter on full load.and The Scythe Mugen 2 Rev B is also very nice. but the last 2 have odd mounting (have to face up/down w/ the Gelid on AM2 and the Mugen is very big) so id go with the hyper 212+ .

How about the Venomous X? You will need to buy the special bracket and at least one fan for it.

I use corsair H50 water cooling system for my amd system.  It cools better than my air cooling system before.  My CPU temp is 29-31C at idle, and at full load while doing cinebenchmark or other benchmarks jumps to 45-50C.  Here is my rigs:

Quad Core AMD Phenom II X4 720BE (OC 3.6 GHz at 1.425 V)
Corsair H50 Water Cooling & Double Cooler Master Fan (90CFM + 19DBa)
Gigabyte MA790X-UD4P Motherboard
6 GB ADATA DDR2 800 MHz
CrossfireX 2 Sapphire ATI HD 5770 1 GB GDDR5 (850/1200MHz)
Western Digital 500 GB 7200 rpm
Pioneer DVD-R/RW
Multimedia Card Reader
750 Watt Modular PSU
GMC H-80 Case

I hear from my friend Noctua NH-D14 is the best for AMD and the 2nd position is 3Rsystem Iceage 120 Boss II or in other name PCCOOLER HP1216X, he says he got it from a web, i wonder where he get it.

I think venomous X, TRUX,baram, megahelm, noctua NH-D14 is great, you can pick one of them...

indeed but noctua NH-D14 has a serious issue for RAM compability , we can't use RAM taller than 44 mm coz it will touch the cooler or the fan , and im using gskill trident which is not compatible :( ,  but how about coolermaster v8 ? its cheaper but has a good performance and how about thermalright true black rev.c
