Hey guys, iv been having a lot of trouble with Rogers cable, its 60gb limit and shitty 60kb/s upload speed. I was wondering if there are any other cable providers in the greater Toronto area that have an unlimited bandwidth option, or decent upload speeds?
DSL is out of the question and the phonelines running to my house are 50 years old and not able to support the load of highspeed dsl.
any info would be nice. TY
Cogeco offers 16Mbit connections but limits even those to 100GB a month. Another downside is that its quite expensive, which you are probably used to with Rogers ;)
Cable is garbage in the GTA. TOO many people.
I use teksavvy internet AND home phone. Its DSL but it is amazing and their customer service is 100% Canadian. I pay 29.99/mo for 200GB bandwidth but they have an unlimited option for $5 more a month i believe. They also have an MLPP option incase you dont like the bitorrent throttling ;)
You could inquire about http://entertainment.bell.ca/en/package.html
It's fiber optic, not DSL. They might be able to give you an ETA on when it will be available if it currently is not.
