do you use after the red and black a 2nd paint `?
no juse them the copper tips at the top were there stock so yea only the black & the red
ok thx
why dont u painted the copper pins on the top of the cooler
I guess the thermal properties vary between different types of paint... I'm sure it could not reach temperatures where the paint can catch fire, but it might have a negative effect on your cooling...

Or worse, the mettal parts won't be able to collect all the cool air if it's painted over. But if youy paint over the plastic parts, I don't think there's any affects expect fire if that's the case but not possible.
I would NOT recommend that anyone paint any metal surface used to disipate heat. Paint acts like an insulator (dielectric) and does not allow heat to properly escape into the flowing air moving across surface.
For those that understand, paint has a R value. Meaning it blocks light, uv, ir, vl, etc. Which also means thermal energy (= heat). The CPU conducts heat and the cooler is a radiator which is cooled by convection.
Paint does have similar chemical properties as plastc when it comes to heat. It can melt, peel, shrink, scortch as well as burn, depending on type paint used. Painting plastcs on your cooler probably wont hurt but painting the smooth metal surfaces is NOT a good idea.
Do NOT paint your cooler. Why do you think manufactures leave it plain aluminum or copper? By now they would think it would cool to have some nice colour on them.
Leave it stock. You are taking away the main reason of the heatsink if you paint it.
check this thred out: http://www.rodneyreynolds.com/forum/posts/2010/02/06/paint-cpu-cooler
in short - DO NOT PAINT YOUR CPU COOLER, it wouldn't preform aswell and it will mess up the heat transfer
Hope this helps
