Hi,

I have an XFX Radeon 5870 graphics card and I am planning on buying a dedicated PhysX card. Right now I am leaning towards a Gigabyte GTS 250. So what is a good card for dedicated PhysX?

Thanks, Josh

P.S. I know that the latest drivers disable PhysX when an ATi card is present. And I also know about the Hybrid PhysX mod :)

If you know it's disable then what is the point of buying the card? No its not worth it IMHO. Buy another XFX Radeon 5870 and crossfire for extra performance.

I sleep fine at night knowing we are banning people who deserve it.  Tivon

There is a mod/patch for the Nvidia drivers that allows PhysX to work with an ATi card present. Also Nvidia Forceware driver 257.15 accidentally allows the use of PhysX.

I ended up buying a GTS 250 and it runs as dedicated PhysX great on Mirror's Edge, Batman Arkham Asylum and Fluidmark (1.1 and 1.2).
