Hey Rodney I am currently running a quad core AMD Phenom 9550 processor at 2.20 GHz and I was looking to upgrade to something faster. I am also running a Pegatron NARRA3 motherboard. Can I upgrade to a faster processor on that motherboard or will I have to get a newer one. Is there a way to find the maximum supported speed of my motherboard? I don't want to get a new faster processor just to have the speed bottleneck because of my motherboard. Also will a faster processor use alot more power than my current one?
Thanks,
Myles
Narra3 supports X2 up to 5600+ up to 89 watt Socket AM2 Processor (currently AMD Athlon™ X2 6000+) AND X4 up to 9600+ up to 95 watt Socket AM2+ Processor (currently AMD Phenom™ X4 9600+). Narra3 supports PC2-4200/PC2-5300/PC2-6400 4GB(32) 8GB(64). Pegatron is an OEM made by Asus. This is correct information, but because it's an HP you may need to ask them what the max CPU is for that system since there are many differences in board revisions and bios versions.
Thanks alot!
