hey rodney, first off, we love your video reviews! We have learnt sooo much, so thanks! :) A friend and I are building a two gaming rigs, we both have $1500 give or take.

They will be used for gaming, msn, graphic design, movies, music, and general computer use... so far it is like this, but we feel  they could be ALOT better:

THIS IS HIS RIG:

PROCESSOR: AM3 Phenom II 1055 x6
CASE: ANTEC 200 Gaming Case
HDD: WESTERN DIGITAL CAVIAR BLACK 1T 64mb Cache
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) 3 x 2GB
FAN: ANTEC 120 MM x2
COOLING: COOLERMASTER V8
MOTHERBOARD: MSI890GXM-G65
POWER SUPPLY: Antec TP Quattro 1000W
DVD DRIVE: ASUS IDED LIGHT SCRIBE RETAIL
GRAPHICS CARD: ATI RADEON 5750 XXX
GRAND TOTAL : $1564

THIS IS MY RIG:

CASE: ANTEC 200 Gaming Case (CPL)
PROCESSOR: Intel i7 930
MOTHERBOARD: Asus X58 Rampage III Extreme
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) 3 x 2GB
HDD: WESTERN DIGITAL 1T 64mb
FAN: ANTEC 120 MM x2
HEATSINK: COOLERMASTER V8 or CoolIt ECO water cooling
POWER SUPPLY: Antec TP Quattro 1000W
DVD DRIVE: ASUS IDED LIGHT SCRIBE RETAIL
GRAPHICS CARD: ATI RADEON 5750 XXX
SOUND CARD: Creative X-Fi Xtreme Audio PCIe

so we need to know:

1. which system is better?

2. What would u change about either of the rigs?

Thanks Rod,

Omega

Rodney normally does not answer "My Rig" questions.

Personal preference for me is Intel for gaming rigs and Asus for motherboards.

I sleep fine at night knowing we are banning people who deserve it.  Tivon
